"Charlotte Liming, age 88, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2016, at Montrose Memorial Hospital.
Charlotte Alma was born on September 12, 1927, the second of sixteen children born to Charles Henry & Gladys (Lowe) Grater in Logan County, Utah.
She spent her childhood in the Atwood and Merino area of eastern Colorado and moved with her family to Olathe in 1944. Charlotte married Loren Clifford Liming on May 12, 1951. The two spent 38 wonderful years together, putting roots down in Olathe, where their beloved daughter Betty Gail was born and raised.
Charlotte enjoyed many things, but one of her greatest loves was farming. She loved to watch things grow and she was known for her work ethic. She deeply loved spending time with family and friends, especially over a hot cup of coffee, and also delighted in time at the Olathe Senior Center, a good book, and attending Victory Baptist with long-time friends and sisters, Vicy and Beth Davidson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren, on December 5, 1989, and here daughter Betty, on December 7, 2013.
She is survived by six siblings: Ray Grater, Miriam Guy, Jacketta McClanahan, Ruth Arlene Roberts, Janet Bayers and Larry Grater; two grand-children: Jason Cotter and Charlori Slade; two great-grandchildren: Kyrie and Johnathan Cotter and many other loved nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was a gentle soul, had a great sense of humor and staunch convictions, and was deeply loved by all who knew her.
Funeral services are scheduled a 10 A.M., Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Victory Baptist Church in Montrose, Colorado. An interment service will follow at the Olathe Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. "

January 1987 Grand Junction "Gladys Grater of Olathe died Friday at her home after a lengthy illness. She was 31. She was born Gladys Lowe on Nov. 24, 1905, at Parowan, Utah, where she spent her childhood and attended schools.
She married Henry Charles Grater March 12, 1924, at Parowan. They moved to Sterling before coming to Olathe in 1944. Mr. Grater died Jan. 12, 1966. Mrs. Grater enjoyed her family, quilting, cooking and canning. She attended Olathe Assembly of God Church, the Olathe Church of God, Foothills Baptist Church and the Church of God Missionary Society Mrs Grater also was a member of Olathe Rebekah Lodge No. 99 and the East Mesa Club. Survivors include six daughters, Helen Summers of Montrose, Charlotte Liming, Ruth Arline Roberts-Rawson and Mirian Guy, all of Olathe, Retta Taylor of Cedar City, Utah, and Jacketta McClanhahan of Durango; three sons, the Rev.George Eugene of Birmingham, Ala., Ray L. of Mary Esther, Fla., and Larry of Olathe; two brothers, Elmer and Lamont, both of Parowan; four sisters, Lorna Algers of Parowan; Miriam Lamb of Bakersville, Calif., Ila Baver and Thora Lawerence, both of Cedar City; 33 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Two daughters, three sons, two brothers, four sisters and four grandchildren are deceased. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Olathe Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Eugene Grater, Tim Egbert and Frank Brummitt officiating. Burial will be at Olathe Cemetery with graveside rites by the Olathe Rebekah Lodge No. 99. Montrose Valley ."

" Stanley L. Guy, Sr. of Grand Junction died June 18, 1997. He was 92. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, June 21, 1997 at Martin Mortuary. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Sunday, June 22, 1997 at Martin Mortuary with Reverend Lloyd McMillan officiating. Burial will be Monday, June 23, 1997 at 10:00 AM in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Grand Junction, Colorado. Stanley was born March 3, 1905 to William M. and Mary A. Licklighter Guy at Blue Mound, Missouri. He graduated high school in Conrad, Montana. On December 23, 1937, he married Mary Alice Hurst in Udal, Kansas. She preceded him in death on May 1, 1988. Stanley was a farmer all his life and he enjoyed gardening, being a handyman, and was a jazz drummer in dance bands. He was a member of the Delta Elks Lodge, Delta, Colorado. Survivors include one son, Stanley L. Guy, Jr. of Grand Junction, Colorado; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Guy; four brothers; and three sisters. "
