"In 1883 the family moved to a farm near Sterling, NE, where Harry met his future wife Jennie. They both joined the Methodist church at Saint Mary, NE. Harry married Jennie M. Vogan Aug. 21, 1895, in Sterling, NE. They farmed in eastern Nebraska until March 1918 when they moved to Colorado. They bought a farm four miles southeast of Eckley where they lived until they retired and moved into Eckley.
Survivors include four sons, Floyd C. and Harvey E. of Denver, Harold W. and Norman L. of Eckley; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Mrs. Ralph [Katherine] Kirby; and brother, Charles both of Akron."

In 1950 Eckley, Harold V. Riffle is a rural mail carrier, 46, Ellen Riffle 41 Wife, and Elinor Riffle 11 Daughter.
Harold Wesley Riffle was born on 31 Jul 1903 in Sterling, Johnson Co., Nebraska.  FindaGrave # 116543350 says he married Ellen C. on December 31, 1931, and both are buried in Eckley  (FAG says he was born in 1908, but the tombstone has 1903). He died in 1975, buried in Eckley

Gustav W. Riffle was born in 1904 in Sterling, Johnson Co., Nebraska. He died young.

Norman L. Riffle married Zelta Godsey in April 1937, recorded in Washington County.

Norman had a love of music and taught himself to play saxophone. After high school he joined Jack Marshall's dance band and later a theater group called the "WIlson Show".
He married Zelta Godsey April 7, 1937 in Akron, CO. They left the farm and moved to Brush in 1957 where he worked for the Department of Revenue as a Port of Entry officer. In November of that year, he was transferred to the Dumont office and lived in Idaho Springs, where they lived until he retired in 1974. Upon retirement, they moved to Yuma, CO.
Norman joined the Presbyterian Church in Eckley in 1938 and was a member of the Eckley Grange for nearly 50 years.
