"Samuel W. Hall aged 67 years. Deceased located on the farm, yet known as the Hall farm, in the North West part of this township in the early seventies where he lived for many years. He was the father of J. F. and Anthony Hall, the millers of this city and returned a few months ago from Dakota, where he went several years ago and engaged in business. The funeral was held at the Christian church at 3 p. m. Thursday and the burial was in the Price cemetery."

" During the 1890's, as Smith Centre and surrounding county grew, it became essential to have a mill and elevator. A large number of citizens promoted the project and became the stockholders. As a result, a large building was constructed in 1898 and 1899. The Mill and Elevator was located near the new Rock Island depot. J. F. Hall, a miller, moved here from Lebanon and became the first manager. The new firm was successful and financially sound and a new tile elevator was erected in 1905. Eagle Brand flour was milled and packaged here for sale in this area. "

September 1905 Manzanola, Colorado "J. F. Hall, of Fowler, was in town Monday talking a water proposition to &c citizens. Mr Hall, who has large holdings in the Crystal Springs Water company of Fowler, proposes to furnish w*ater to Manzanola from the Crystal Springs for $lOO a month. Manzanola would have to lay the water main from Fowler*, making, a total expenditure of about $22,060. While the Crvstal Springs water is all right, this proposition is a pretty big one for a town this size. The council took no action on the matter Monday night and it is hardly probable the matter will bc seriously considered."

June 1947 " Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Kinnaman were happy to have as guests a few days the latter part of the week Mrs. Kinnaman's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Henson, and their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Vernon and children enroute from their home in Mt. View, Calif., to visit relatives at Crab Orchard, Nebraska."

March 1948 "Mr. and Mrs. Frank Henson of Mountain View, California, arrived here Sunday morning for a few days visit with Mrs. M. A. Henson and Mrs. D. W. Kinnaman following a visit in Nebraska."

"Mr. and Mrs. Frank Henson started for their home in Mountain View, Calif, Tuesday after spending the past two weeks here with Mr. Henson's mother and sister, Mrs. M. A. Henson and Mrs. D. W. Kinnaman."

August 1949 " After a lingering illness Mrs. M. A. Henson passed away suddenly early Sunday morning at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Kinnaman. Funeral services are being held at the local church tomorrow (Tuesday) with burial in the Eckley cemetery. Sympathy of the community is offered the bereaved relatives. "
Survived by five children, Mrs. Kinnaman, Mrs. Alice A. McCollum of FOrt Collins, Everett J. of Colorado Springs, Frank of Mountain View, California, and Olen L. of Utah.

"Mary A. Hall was born on July 24, 1861 in Logan COunty, Illinois. When she was four years of age her parents moved to Chariton, Iowa, wehre she grew to womanhood. The family was among the pioneers who immigarted to Kansas, and in 1877 settled near Smith Center...
She was married to Daniel J. Henson on December 19, 1880 and to this union eight children were born."

"Ella Henson, oldest daughter of Daniel Henson and wife, died Tuesday evening of this week, at 7 p. m. aged 12 years. Pneumonia fever is given as the cause. The death was rather sudden and unexpected, and cast a gloom of sorrow over the entire neighborhood. The remains were interred at the Price cemetery Wednesday, March 11th, 1896 at 2 p. m., the funeral services conducted by Rev. Cook."

July 5, 1928 "Mrs. Bessie Everett received word Monday of the death of her husband, Wayne Everett, who was working for a Chicago construction company. The truck he was driving was struck by a fast passenger train which the flagman failed to stop. Mr. Everett was killed almost instantly. Mr. Everett was well known in Eckley and his many friends are saddened to hear of his untimely death. Eckley Tribune."

In 1940 Eckley precinct, Daniel W. Kinnaman is 53, Bessie L. Kinnaman 54 Wife, Mark T. Kinnaman 20 Son, and Mary A. Henson 78 Mother-in-law.

January 1951 "Funeral services for Bessie L. Kinnaman, wife of D. W. Kinnaman, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Eckley Community church conducted by the Rev. Moore Bell. Burial was in the Eckley Cemetery. The Ritchey Mortuary of Yuma was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kinnaman passed away January 1 at the Yuma hospital, after a six-months illness.
Bessie Louisa Henson was born September 12, 1885 at Lebanon, Kansas., a daughter of Daniel and Almeda Henson. The Hensons moved to Colorado in 1910, where she took a homestead five miles southeast of Eckley. In 1911 she married Wayne L. Everett and moved to Wray. Velma Maxine came to live with the Everett family on January 12, 1921.
After Mr. Everett's death in 1926, Mrs. Everett returned to Eckley where she was employed in the Eckley telephone office. D. Webb Kinnaman and Bessie L. Everett were united in marriage April 21, 1933.
She was brought up in the Free Methodist faith, which she followed all through her life.
Beside her husband, Mrs. Kinnaman is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Wesley Sullivan, one sister, Alice S. McCalloum; three brothers, Frank, Olive and Ernest; four step-children, Lyle, Robert and Mark Kinnaman, and Mrs. Robert Armstrong; and nine grandchildren."

Velma M. Everett, 16, and Wesley J. Sullivan, 24, married in Akron, Colorado on February 26, 1937.

"Velma M. (Everett) Sullivan, 90, of Loveland died July 20, 2011 at the Sierra Vista Nursing Home. Velma was born in Saint Louis, MO on January 12, 1921 and was adopted as an infant by Wayne and Bessie (Hensen) Everett.
Velma grew up in Eckley, Colorado. She married Wesley J. Sullivan on February 26, 1937 in Akron, CO. Velma and her husband farmed the Sullivan homestead until 1957 when they moved to Loveland. Wesley died in 1987, just a month before they would have celebrated their 50th anniversary.
Velma had many careers during her lifetime. After farming, she worked at the Safeway in Yuma. In Loveland, she worked at the Dude Corral, Hiway house, Village Inn, Schmidts Bakery, Safeway and she did food demos at various places in town. She also retired from Hewlett Packard with 15 years' service. She had a gift of gab and never met a stranger. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, embroidery work and reading.
Velma is survived by two sons: Jack (Pat) and Kent (Pam), one daughter, Debi (Steve) Sekavec, all of Loveland, daughter-in-law Bonnie Sullivan of Lake Havasu, AZ, 9 grand children, 2 step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wesley Sullivan, a daughter Doris (Sullivan) Heinrich, a son Brad Sullivan, and a grandson, John Wesley Sullivan, and a step brother Mark Kinneman.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, July 25, 2011 at Allnutt Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Loveland Burial Park. "
