Aaron and Ellen May Sweet, son Andrew Sweet, Witherbee
Ellen May Giggey, born Jun 24, 1871 in Aroostook County, Maine, married Aaron Sweet Aug 31, 1887 in Harrison County, Iowa. Her parents were George Giggey and Elizabeth Parker - so she's the sister of Susan who married James C. Nickel. Aaron's parents were Geo. and Sarah A. (Wakefield) Sweet.
In 1900 Harrison County, Iowa Aaron Sweet, born April 1853 in Iowa., has been married 12 years to Ellen M. June 1872, Maine. With them are Andrew Nov 1888 and Arthur H. Oct 1891, both Iowa.
Andrew L. Sweet proved up a quarter in 19, 5N 42W - only a few miles away from the Hoschouer claim, and Aaron Sweet two quarters in section 5, 5N 42W in 1918.
In 1920 Yuma County Ellen M. 47, is with son Arthur W. and Sylvia S. 22. They have J. Nelson 3, Walter eighteen months, and newborn Dorothy V.
Arthur was delinquent on taxes for one quarter of that land in 1923.
In 1930 Ellen M. Shaw, 58 married, is in Grady County Oklahoma with brother-in-law James M. Allumbaugh. Andrew L. 41, and Mabel L. Sweet, 39 are lodgers....
Sylvia Estella Hoschouer was born May 5, 1898 in Friend Nebraska and married Arthur Wesley Sweet May 15, 1915. They had John Nelson Sweet November 1, 1916 dying January 30, 1927, Walter Aaron Sweet, Dorothy Velma Sweet December 16, 1919 in Holyoke, Viola Almeda Sweet, Audrey Mae Sweet, George Samuel Sweet April 25, 1924 died April 1, 1834, Lillian Sweet, David Leslie Sweet March 17, 1927 - September 12, 1927, Oran Daniel Sweet, Sadie Darline Sweet, Hyrum Stephen Sweet, Oliver Thomas Sweet February 5, 1834 - March 11, 1934, Otis Burnard Sweet Feb 5, 1935 - March 10, 1934, and Paul Wesley Sweet.
Arthur Wesley Sweet - Oct 26, 1891 - Feb 14, 1938, Sylvia Estella Sweet May 5, 1898 - Dec 9 1969 and a bunch of their kids are buried in Grady County Oklahoma Pocasset cemetery. So is Arthur's mother Ellen May (GIGGEY) (Sweet) Shaw- Jun 24, 1871 - Jun 15, 1955.
