December 1898 "G. W. Allison, who has a farm near
Vernon, arrived Sunday night from Grinnel, Iowa with
a car of immigrant goods. His family came
a few days later. Mr. Allison is a brother of L. C.
Allison, who lived near Vernon for several years."
August 1899 "Mrs. C. Allison and daughter,
Mrs. Rudolph Draegert, of Nassau, Iowa,
arrived Thursday for a visit with G. W. Allison
and family of Vernon. Mr. Draegert stopped off
at Omaha, but will arrive in a few days.
Mrs. Draegert will be remembered as being in
Vernon in 95-96, during which time she taught
a term of school in the Pyle district."
