LAST RITES HELD FOR JAMES CONKLIN
 
James Wesley Conklin, the son of George and Rose [Stephens] Conklin was born at Holyoke, Colorado, July 26, 1920 and departed this life August 2, 1947 in the Colorado General Hospital in Denver at the age of 27 years and one week.
 
He attended school in Holyoke after which he was employed at various concerns in Holyoke.
 
During his lifetime, James acquired many friends and his thoughts and actions were always for others around him and those in need.
 
He leaves to mourn his passing his father, mother, three sisters, Dora Tatum, of Warsaw, Missouri, and Ruth and Margaret, and three brothers, Frank, Robert and Harvey all of Holyoke as well as a host of relatives and friends.
 
The services were held in the Methodist Church with the pastor, Louis A. Haruf officiating. Mrs. C.R. Smythe and Mrs. Foster Parker accompanied by Mrs. F.B. Kelly sang two numbers requested by the family, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Sweet Bye and Bye."
 
Pallbearers were Max Heginbotham, Forrest Watson, Marvin Zeiler, Willis Koepke, Doyle Burchett, and L.A. Coatney, Jr.
 
Out-of-town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Tatum and baby, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Tatum, all of Warsaw, Missouri.

We take this means to say thanks and show our appreciation for all the kindnesses, the floral remembrances and cards we have received in our bereavement in the loss of our beloved son, brother, and uncle.
