January 1918 "Word was received here last week that Amos B. Anderson, a brother of Mrs. Sapp and
Mrs. H. V. Long, who resides with his sisters east of town, but who has been spending the winter in
Albia, Iowa, died there Thursday morning. Our sympathy is extended to the relatives."
February 1, 1918 "Amos B. Anderson, a ranch owner of Willard, Colo.,
killed himself with a shotgun at his sister's home near Buxton, Iowa.
He was 68 years old."

"Ardythe Marie Anderson (Crowell), 96, of Brush died June 17, 2014.
She was born on October 17, 1917 in Bussey, Iowa to George Malcolm and Grace Richardson Crowell. Ardythe grew up in the Willard community and graduated from Willard High School. She often spoke of her wonderful childhood on the farm with her loving parents and siblings. As a Child she was affectionately called "Toots."
She married Gus Anderson on December 25, 1936 in Sterling, Colorado. They made their home south of Stoneham where they raised their two daughters; Marlene Baker and Sharon Wolever. She valued raising her daughters as she had been raised.
Ardythe was a long time member of the Willard United Methodist Church, which she attended as a child. Along with attending every activity of her grandchildren, she also was active in various card and home clubs in her beloved Stoneham and Willard communities, and in later years, Brush. In recent years, she could be found sitting at one of her great-grandchildren's sporting events. Ardythe felt very blessed to get to meet her great-great grandson born in March of 2014.
Survivors include her daughters, Marlene Baker (Marvin) of Brush and Sharon Wolever of Snyder, seven grandchildren, Marla Coen (Paul), Michelle Delaney, Margo Kissler (Jimmy ), Matt Baker (Diane), Craig Wolever (Kim), Cristi Mortensen (Bradley), Nicole Unrein (Marshal), eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gus, sister, Mildred Scott, brothers, Harry, Carl, and Willis Crowell, son-in-law, Paul Wolever and her parents.
There will be a visitation on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 5 until 7 pm at the Heer Mortuary in Brush.
Funeral Services will be Monday, June 23, 2014 at 10:30 am at the Brush United Methodist Church in Brush, Colorado. Interment will follow in Brush Memorial Cemetery. Memorial Gifts can be made to the Willard United Methodist Church."
