November 11, 1905 Boulder "Messrs. F. C. Hachenberger and C. M. Hachenberger received a telegram announcing the death of their mother of apoplexy at Burlington, Colo. Both gentlemen and Mrs. F. C. Huchenberger and child left on the afternoon train to be there for the funeral and will return on Wednesday."

August L. Hackenberger married Jessie Cochran on July 6, 1897, recorded in Denver.

July 1899 Elbert County "Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Hachenberger, of Pueblo, came Tuesday with their fine new two-months old boy, Ralph Cheater, on a short visit to Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Cochran and other relatives near Fondis. Mr. Hachenberger has charge of the Denver Post in Pueblo, and ia doing a large business. Mrs. H. has a great many friends in this county and all will be glad to meet her."
