Funeral of Corp. Hubert Casey to be This Morning
Requiem Mass to be at the Catholic Church to be followed by Military Burial

Requiem mass will be sung by Father Wm. Coyne at St. Johns Catholic church in Yuma at 10 o'clock this Thursday morning for Corporal Hubert P. Casey who died Sunday in a military hospital at Camp Hood, Texas, at the age of 30 years. Military burial services will be conducted by members of Pat Mowry Post No. 96, American Legion, at the Yuma Cemetery.

Corporal Casey was born October 2, 1912 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cal Casey who resided northeast of Yuma for many years. He entered the armed forces last year and was first attached to a cavalry troop at Fort Riley, Kansas. He incurred an injury to one of his knees while in training there and after recovering he entered the officers training school at Camp Hood. He was due to receive his commission April 1. At the latter place he contracted pneumonia which resulted in his death.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Julia M. Casey, whom he married November 15, 1935; his father, Cal Casey of Eustis, Nebraska, who had been spending the winter in Los Angeles; one brother, Carl Casey of The Dalles, Oregon; one sister, Mrs. Marjorie Aureara of Columbus, Ohio, and a half-sister, Mrs. Ester Frenzl of Otis.
