Herman and Anna Traue
Herman Traue and Anna Burrie married in Carroll County, Missouri on January 26, 1910.
She was a resident of Newborn, Carroll County.
Her mother might be Anna Zwiefel Burre 1869-1930 buried in Norborne,
Carroll County # 125743298. She was in Callaway County, Missouri in 1900, with daughter ANNIE born January 1890, so Alfred 11, daugers Maggie 8, Adeline 3, and Alta 1.
In 1910 Carroll County, Afred Burre is 21,
Anna Burre 41, Maggie Burre 18, Rossa Burre 13,
Elsie Burre 11, and Earnest Burre 6.
In 1910 Yuma County, Herman "Traner", 28, born in Germany, is farming, Annie
20, born in Missouri.
December 6, 1917 "Several of the relatives, neighbors and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Trauer surprised them Sunday by walking into their home south of Wray prepared to snend the day with them. The guests had brought provisions for a bountiful dinner.
The occasion was the birthday anniversary of Mr. Trauer."
In 1920 Herman Traner is 37, Germany, Anna Traner, 29, Missouri, and
Herman Traner Son, 6 Colorado.
April 1933 "Mr. and Mrs. Cooney Renzelman, Walter and Floyd, Mr. and Mrs. William Poos, Herman Trauer, Milda Trauer and Lela Bell Bullock were dinner guests at the W. G. Renzelman home Friday evening.

October 1937 "Herman Trauer and Eldon Renzelman returned home Saturday
from Missouri."
Milda was with her widowed father in 1940 Yuma County, 23, born in Kansas. Herman was farming in Yuma County when
registering for WWI, bonr Dec 2, 1881, reference Anna Traue of Wray.
There's an Anna Traue in the St. Joseph, Missouri state hospital in 1940, 49, born in MIssouri.
May 1945 "Mr. Herman Traue, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Traue, was born
Dec. 2, 1881 in Suedenfelde, near Minden, Westfahlia, Germany. In 1899 Mr. Traue
came to America and made his home with relatives, living near Norborne, Missouri.
After working eight years as a farm hand he made a trip to Germany.
The next year he returned and settled with his relatives in Yuma County, Colorado.
In 1910 he was united in holy wedlock with Anna Nee Burrie. The couple started
farming for themselves near Scott City, Kan., in 1921. Four years later they
moved to Norborne, Mo., and in 1930 Mr. Traue returned to Colorado and had ever
since made his home in and near Wray. This union was blessed with two children,
Herman, Jr., and Milda.
Herman, Jr., preceded his father in death in 1922.
His daughter Milda is married to Mr. Earl Knox and lives east of Wray.
Mr. Traue had been in failing health since 1930.
After undergoing several major operations he was afflicted with
paralysis agitans. Since Dec. 15, 1942 when he suffered a stroke,
he had been bedfast and remained in this condition until the day of
his death, May 5, 1945.
He leaves to mourn his departure a few close relatives and a
host of friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 8,
at the Calvary Evangelical Lutheran church.
Rev. M. W. Wilk conducted the service and interment was at Grandview. "

POSSIBLE Anna Traue, born January 15, 1890 in Missouri, Last Place of Residence:
Carroll, Missouri, died in February 1978.
January 25, 1945 "Miss Melda Traue and Earl Knox of Wray surprised their friends Tuesday when they went to St. Francis, Kansas, and were married. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Schroeder, Lutheran minister at that place. The couple were attended by Mra. Velma Aughe and Robert Cornish. They will make their home in Wray where Mr. Knox is employed as a mechanic by Wyland's Service station."
August 1963 "Mr. and Mrs. Earl Knox of Pueblo, who were here for the funeral of their nephew, Doyle Richards, remained to spend a few days with the former's mother, Mrs. Sadie Long, and other relatives."
Earl is buried in Wray 1911-1996 # 81579273, with Milda Ann 1922-1976.
