Mina Slocum, of Hazleville, Missouri, Knox County, married Lee M. Morton of Hazlewood January 22, 1902. Because she was under 18, Bruce Slocum, father gave consent.
1910 Federal Census taken 5/2/1920, for Greensburg P.O., Knox Co., MO:

Mina Morton, wife, b. MO, age 25;
Opal Morton, daug., b. MO, age 7;
Merl Morton, son, b. MO, age 5;

In 1920 Yuma County, in the Waverly area, Lee M. Morton is 40, Josie 35, L. Opal 16, Merl B. 15, Glen L. 13, Lema 11, Minnerva B. 4 - all these kids born in Missouri, and Dale S. four months, Colorado.
In 1930 Yuma County, Lee is 50, Josie 45, Merl 25, Glen 22, Minerva 14, and Dale 10.
Lee is a janitor, Josie, and Dale a dairy delivery man, back in Kirksville, Missouri in 1940

January 1928 Pleasant Valley items "We are glad to report that Mrs. Opal Moran is able to be up and around again. Her parents, Mr.and Mrs. L.M. Morton of Yuma, were out to see her Sunday."
August 16, 1928 "Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Morton and family, of Yuma, and Bill Woodard spent Sunday at the Elwyn Moran home."
February 18, 1932 "Mrs. Elwin Moran and Dorothy came in Saturday from Republican City Nebraska. Dorothy will remain in town with her grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. Lee Morton, and finish out her school year."
Josie Ermina (Slocum) Morton 1884-1951 is buried in Delta, Colorado # 15494129.

1928 Waverly items"Bill Woodward (should be Woodard) was seen by the writer going north from his home Monday evening and informed us he was going to spend the evening at the Edgar Murrain home – probably."
October 1928 "Miss Lena Morton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.M. Morton, and William "Woodward", a young farmer of fifteen miles northeast of Yuma, were married at St. Francis, Kansas September 29."
Lema Woodard, daughter of Lee Morton and Mina Slocum, born April 5, 1908 at Barren Missouri, died in Richardson Texas from a car accident Dec 1, 1965 in Richardson, Texas, buried Restland.
Mrs. Will Woodard, 57, of 443 Highland in Richardson, died Friday in Parkland Hospital. Police said she was injured in a 2 car accident Wednesday at Frances Way and Grove Streets. Her death was the seventh in Richardson accidents this year.
Funeral services for Mrs. Woodard will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church in Richardson with burial in Restland Memorial Park.
She was a native of Baring, MO.
Survivors: husband; a son, Wales L. Woodard, U.S. Air Force; father, Lee Morton, Kirksville, MO; two brothers, Dale Morton and Glenn Morton, both of Colorado; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Moran and Mrs. Minerva Haley, both of Colorado and two grandchildren."
She's buried in Restland # 79574115.

In 1940 Yuma on North Albany Street - Glen Morton is a mail carrier, 33, born in Missouri, with Pauline 31 Iowa a teacher. Max 3 is born in Colorado.
Pauline was a teacher in Yuma in 1930, living with Frank 50 and Edwina 44 Brownlee. Bernice 23, Kathryn 19, Winifred 18, Calvin 15, Willard 13, and Richard 8.
Pauline Brownlee Morton 1908-1953 is buried in Yuma # 74039501.

October 29, 1964 "Mr. and Mrs. Glen Morton and Mrs. Opal Moran of Denver returned home Sunday from Richardson, Texas, where they had visited a week with a sister, Mrs. Will Woodard."
November 1965 "Mrs. Glenn Morton is spending several days in Fort Collins with her daughter, Mrs. Gene Nelson and family. She was taken to Fort COllins Sunday by her husband and his siter, Mrs. Opal Moran who is presently makein gher home in Yuma."

Merl Bruce Morton 1905-1935 is buried in Putnam County, Missouri # 47440785.
He fell from a boxcar and was run over by the train. His spouse was Liddie May Morton.
"A young man who gave his name as Merle Morton and who appeared to be betwen 25 and 30 years old, had one leg amputated and the ankle of the other crushed when he fell under the wheels of a fast freight train he was attempting to board here Friday afternoon. The freight, which was going west, does not stop at Shelbina, and Morton attempted to board it while t was in motion. He lost his footing and fell beneath the wheels. His right leg was cut off just above the knee and his left ankle was crushed. "
1967 "Mrs. Opal Moran returned to Yuma from Delta where she had visited her sister, Mrs. Minerva Haley and a brother, Dale Morton and families."
November 1968 "Mrs. Opal Moran left for Delta where she will visit a brother and a sister. From there she will go to Hawthorne, California for an indefinite visit with her daughter, Dorothy Dunlap."
1975 Minerva Morton Haley of Delta came to Yuma last week for her class reunion and visited her sister, Mrs. Opal Moran and brother Glen Morton and wife.
"Former Delta resident Minerva Haley, 96, died on Saturday, November 10, 2012 in Thornton, Colorado.
There are no immediate services planned, however a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Haley is survived by her two daughters Marcia Montgomery of Edmonds, WA and Sandra Bell and her husband Ed of Thornton, Colo.; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory."
1976 "Mrs. Opal Moran and Mrs. Myrtle Morton are leaving today, Thursday, for Delta where they will visit at the Dale Morton home. Mrs. Moran will continue on to Cerritos, Califonia to spend several weeks at the E.L.Church home."
1967 "Dorothy Moran Dunlap of Hawthorne, California is a house guest this week atof her mother, Mrs. Opal Moran, at High Plains Manor. They will go to Loveland this week end to visit Mrs. Bertha Gowen before Dorothy returns home."
When Charlie Moran died in June 1976, out-of-town attendees were Ernie and Dorothy Church of Corona, California.
Ernie and Dorothy Church of Hemet, California attended Rosalie Moran's birthday party in August 1991.
Dorothy Jean Moran, born August 3, 1924 at Yuma to James E. Moran and Lucy O. Morton, listed as Reynolds in 1947, Dunlap in 1957, and as Church in 1971.
She died April 24, 1996 in Riverside County.
