Also from Gary McColery "A beautiful picture of my great, great grandmother, Hannah,
and her first child Clinton Bronson, approximate date 1868.
Her name at that time was Hannah Anna (Mart) Bronson.
After his civil war service for 18 years, Mr. McColrey followed the business of mining
and hauled coal from an area near his home at Monica, Peoria County, Illinois down
(about 18 miles) to Peoria City, Peoria County, Illinois.
Later, in Monica, he owned his own shop as a wagon maker where he did a good business.
He also owned his own dwelling in Monica.
Then later in 1880, the Orrien McColrey first moved to Hollenberg, Kansas where his family
is listed in the 1880 census, and then later the family moved to Beatrice, Nebraska.
Clinton Bronson's father was Red Bronson, based on verbal history.
It was said that Red Bronson went to Oklahoma to fight
in the Indian Wars where he was killed, based on verbal history,
but I have no independent evidence of this verbal history.
Hannah had two more marriages: the third marriage

1908 Beatrice, Nebraska
"Several Corrections to Obituary:
She was the daughter of Orrien McColery
by a previous marriage,
and the step daughter of Mrs. Hannah McColery,
Orrien's wife.
It is believed she was no longer with her husband,
Mr. Dawson, at time of her death.
Her daughter was Miss Mabel Kurtz,
and there was also one step daughter, I believe.
She was not buried at Evergreen Home Cemetery
in Beatrice, Nebraska,
but at Scott Street Cemetery
also in Beatrice, Nebraska under her maiden name:
Etta McColery with the word Mother on the small
cemetery monument,
which is adjacent to a much smaller stone for
two baby brothers (died as babies):
Warren McColrey and Chester McColrey."
