Beverlin of Skidmore, Nodaway County, Missouri, married Owen W. Neal March 3, 1908 in St. Joseph, Missouri. In 1920 Hitchcock County, Nebraska, Owen W. is 36, born in Missouri, a barber, with Ines B. 32. They have Pauline , 6 born in Nebraska. Inez's sister Mabel Beverlin, a school teacher , 19 is with them. In 1929 Pueblo, Colorado, Owen W. (Inez B.) is a barber, living at 905 S. Union Avenue. Pauline Neal, student, is at the same address. Inez P. Neal is divorced in 1940 Pueblo, Colorado Inez B. King 1889-1970 is buried in Pueblo Colorado 95643367 In 1910 Eckley precinct, Yuma County, Jesse F. Beverlin is 57, Ella J. 55, Charles 19, Mabel 11, Ernest 12, Lizzie 14, Lila 6, George 4, and Geraldine 3 (possibly three months). 1919 "Mrs. Jess Beverlin, from the South Divide country, is in Wray to care for her daughter, Mrs. Wib. Bodle." Other newspaper articles mention "Wilbur Bodle." 1919 Will Bagby from Skidmore, Missouri visited his brother-in-law Wib Bodle. Hazel Beverlin married J.W. Lebanon, Nebraska A very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mrs. Lucy Lyon, Sunday, April 29th, 1917, when her daughter, Bernice Helena, was united in marriage to Mr. Ray Smith. The bride and groom left, for a short honeymoon, to Denver, Colorado. After May 20 they will make their home on a farm near Trenton where they will welcome their many friends. Harvey L. Lyons 5-26-1889 - 12-17-1932 "pvt 355th Inf 89 Div.
Harvey Eugene Lyon, a retired rear admiral and submariner who helped to build Trident missile submarines in the 1970's, died on Monday at his home in Fairfax, Va. He was 71. The cause was a heart attack, his family said. April 1, 1995 New York Times Admiral Lyon was born in McCook, Neb., graduated from the United States Naval Academy and did postgraduate work in electrical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He spent 30 years in the Navy, mostly on submarines. He served in the Pacific in World War II and the Korean War. His assignments also took him to the Atomic Energy Commission. On July 2, 1942, Harvey Eugene Lyon of McCook left for Baltimore to complete his exams for his entrance into the United States Naval academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The August 14, 1942, McCook Daily Gazette carried a story detailing his life so far as a midshipman. Harvey, son of Mrs. Mabel Lyon, had been a former Gazette carrier. In a letter to his mother, Lyon wrote, "The feeding of this large group of midshipmen is done in one huge mess hall underneath the rear terraces of Bancroft hall. The building is six hundred feet long and about one hundred feet wide. In it are fed something over three thousand young men, so you can imagine the size of the place." Lyon had passed his swimming test but only 60 out of the 400 in his battalion had passed it. He was allowed to go to chapel, now that he had taken all of his "shots" and said it was a beautiful sight with 2,500 middies in their uniforms. In 1920 Yuma County Jesse F. is still 57, Ella J. 55, with Lucy 22, Jesse 17, Lila 15, George 13, and Geraldine 11. Jesse J. Beverlin married Florence Busby December 22, 1923, recorded in Kit Carson County. In 1930 Jesse "Beralin" is 28, Florence E. 24, with Louise J. 1 and Dean P. 6. In 1910 Hale precinct, Yuma County, Hardin L. Lundy - second marriage, 34, born in Missouri, married 20 years to Cassie 39, West Virginia. They have Carrie m. 19 Kansas, Nora F. 16 Kansas, and Ana M. 14 Indian Territory. Charles Marion Busby married Amy May Lundy March 20, 1918, recorded in Yuma County. In 1920 and 1930 they're in Yuma County. Charles born about 1887, Amy about 1898, Charles L. 1919, Louise M. 1921, and Orville R. 1928. They're in Woodland Park, Colorado in 1940, "any kind of work" Hardin L. Lundy 1856-1942 is buried in Salem Oregon 75281827. So is his daughter Nora F. Rolow 73123711
Cassie Lundy 1870-1929 is buried in Wray 65047502 Lewis Busby, formerly of Genesee Depot, died at the age of 92 in Mesa, Ariz., on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. He was born Jan. 31, 1919, to Charles and Amy Busby in Armel, Colo. His school years were spent in Woodland Park, Colo., where he met and married Alma Spradlin on Jan. 11, 1941, in New Mexico. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this past January. Lewis was an iron worker by trade and spent his early years working in the shipyards along the West Coast, and later settling in Wisconsin. He worked for the Price Erecting and J.C. Penney Co. before retiring to Arizona in 1979. He loved to create things and was a very adventurous person who loved to travel and "Jeep around." Besides his wife, Alma, he is survived by daughters, Bert (Jon) Lantz of Aurora, Ill., and Diane Busby (Ken Schaefer) of Pewaukee; grandchildren, Dan Trevorrow of Watertown, Michael (Gretchen) Lantz of Naperville, Ill., and Tami (Dan) Klawitter of West Allis; great- grandchildren, Dominic Trevorrow of Watertown, Ashley Klawitter of West Allis and Ryan, Anna, Sara, and Drew Lantz of Naperville. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Louise Rowan. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His spirit will be with us all always. His body was cremated.
