| ERNESTINE BILLINGTON, 91, of Cisne, IL passed away
Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Way Fair Nursing Home in Fairfield, IL. Ernestine was born July 3, 1921 at Mildred, Colorado to Homer and Maude (Burrell) Wheeler. She married Wayne Billington on March 2, 1941 at St. Francis, Kansas, and he preceded her in death in 1996. Ernestine was an LPN at Fairfield Memorial Hospital and for Home Health in Eckley, CO. She helped her husband farm and enjoyed quilting, cooking, and traveling. Ernestine was a member of Buckeye Christian Church. Ernestine is survived by two daughters Sherryl Jungwirth and Judy Shannon; two sons, James Billington and Michael Billington; one sister Joan (Norman) Knapton. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Valerie Irwin, Veronica Judd, Stephanie Harrell, Nolan Billington, Miles Billington, Evan Billington, and Leanne Billington Rozmajzl; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, and sister, Irene Brown. Funeral services for Ernestine Billington was held at Hosselton Funeral Home with burial in the Buckeye Cemetery. |
