Fred H. Suedmeyer,  Heartstrong

Fred Suedmeyer married Mabel F. Irelan in Frontier County, Nebraska June 1, 1904.

In Fairview Cemetery, Furnas County Nebraska is a stone "Mabel F. - Wife of Fred Suedmeyer - Born Feb 15, 1883, died Dec 29, 1905"

In Hitchcock County Nebraska in 1910 Fred, 28, born in Nebraska, is widowed.  On the same page is a Lawrence Suedmeyer, 5, grandson, living with Samuel and Amelia Brelan,

Fred was paid by Yuma County in 1913 for some work on roads.

Fred proved up two quarters in 5, 1S 47W in 1916 - witnesses Rex Randall, William Worley, Corroll Hays, and George Bickel, all of Yuma.

In 1920 Hitchcock County, Nebraska a Fred Suedmeyer, 41, widowed, has daughter Hazel Wood, 12 with him.  Lawrence is still with grandparents.



MILLIE

Millie never shows up on a census with parents James and Nancy Clines.

In 1900 Furnas County, Nebraska, C.J. Hand born January 1861, married one year to Millie March 1882, both born in Indiana. C.J. is a carpenter

In 1910 Washington County, Colorado, Cope precinct, Columbus J. is 50, "Nellie" C. 28, Gracie D. 9 Nebraska, Hazel D. 6 Kansas, and Alta C. 1 born in Washington.

Columbus J. Hand proved up two quarters in 6, 3S 50W, in 1914. That would be south of Akron about 25 miles.

In 1920 Fort Morgan, Columbus is a house carpenter, in a lodging house, and only Alta C. 12 is with him.

C. J. Hand 1859-1929 is buried in Denver # 3179860.

Millie C. Hand married Charles Petty December 21, 1918, recorded in Washington County.

This might be the same one - July 9, 1925
Although the birth year is very late the death matches # 100212595 1885-1925.

F.H. Suedmyer married Milly Pettys on September 8, 1925, recorded in Washington County, Colorado.

March 4, 1926 - Hyde neighborhood items - N.R. Kable moved to the farm recently vacated by Fred Suedmeyer.
February 1927 - Schramm items - "Mr. and Mrs. Fred Suedmeyer of Brighton, Colorado, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Suedmeyer, of south of Yuma, spent Tuesday night of last week at the Oliver Strawder home."

October 1933 "Mrs. F.H. Suedmyer of northeast of Yuma had a very pleasant surpirse Sunday morning when her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. John Reddick and daughter Mrs. George McGowen of Denver, and her father, James O. Clines of Fort Morgan drove in."

February 7, 1935 "Miss Grace Hand, a resident of western Yuma County for a number of years, who now calls Los Angeles, California, her home, came in on the evening train Friday to visit her mother, Mrs. Fred Suedmyer, northeast of this city."
February 7, 1935 Grace Mahoney of Los Angeles was visiting her mother Mrs. Suedmyer.

December 19, 1935

In 1940 Yuma County Fred and Millie 58 "Suedmyer", born in Indiana,  have Laurence Suedmyer, 12, grandson, born in Oregon, with them. His father Lawrence and his mother Berneice, had died in 1931 in Oregon.  They're living on West Second in Yuma, and Fred does street maintenance.



June 1944 Fred was employed at war work in Denver, and visited his wife in Yuma.
1945 "FOR SALE - three room house, at 128 North Main. Fred Suedmyer"
1946 "Mrs. Fred Suedmyer of Denver spent a few days this week on business in Yuma. She and her husband will return here the middle of next month to make their home."
June 5, 1958 "Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Collins of Denver visited her aunt and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Suedmeyer over the Memorial day week end.
Mrs. Hazel Redfearn of Linwood, California, spent two weeks at the home of he parents, Mr. and Mrs. "Fern" Suedmeyer, and left on Saturday to visit relatives at Ford MOrgan before going to Denver to start home."


1962 "Mr. and Mrs. Fred Suedmeyer, Mrs. Grace "Bilsford" of California and Mrs. Hazel Redfern of Oklahoma called at the J.E. Jessup home Wednesday morning."

HAZEL

Hazel is buried in Oklahoma 66632133, with her husband Andrew Redfearn.

Alta Hand married Clifford L. Moore July 15, 1926, recorded in Jefferson County, Colorado.

Fred 1880-1977 and Millie 1882-1974 are buried in Yuma.


Susan Niles of Yuma filed the notice on the estate of Fred Suedmeyer.


GRACE
1918 "Miss Grace Hand is an inmate of the hospital at Brush suffering with appenedicitis."
Grace Brelsford 1901-1967 is buried in Yuma # 48448480.
She was born in Nebraska Feb 4, 1901, died in Los Angeles March 17, 1967, mother's name Clines.
