JAMES
Welcome to the wild and wonderful world of the Endsleys. We sure
do hail
from all parts of this country. I'm searching for the parents of James
Buchanan Endsley. He was born on 2 Aug 1858 in Wabash, Wabash, Indiana.
He
married Elizabeth SHRADER on 2 July 1886 in Imperial, Chase, Nebraska.
James died on 22 June 1931 in Englewood, Arapahoe, Colorado at the age
of
72. He is buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery just outside of Denver,
Colorado.
One report which was sent to the family by a cousin has his father as
James,
marrying a SHIPPEN. But the census which may apply to him has the father
in
the family as William, the mother Elizabeth. This would fit into your
data.
Does anyone have any information which would prove or disprove, or even
throw more wood on the fire? I'm up for any help I can get. I'd even
take
suggestions for a new direction for my research. (I do sound a little
desperate, don't I???)
I hope that all the others will let us all know what lines they're
investigating.
Thanks for your help.

Frances Emma Endsley was my grandmother. She was born 1889 and died
in 1970. She was buried in Mizpah Cemetery in Platteville, Colorado.
Frances married Mell Ziemer , buried same cemetery. They had four
children Eugene, Eligha "Bud", Breta E., and Vivian "Max". One child
"Gene" Eugene is still living in Hudson Colorado. I have pictures of
Uncle John also. The Ziemer side is rough. Mell Ziemer was born Hoskins
Nebraska Wayne County on 22 March 1887. I can send more information if
you feel this is on track.
Your Frances was my grandmother's sister. Cora Hester
Ensley (the name was spelled with and without the "d") was born Feb 16,
1884, the second child of Elihu Ensley and Nancy Ann Endsley. Cora
married John Burk and had 5 children that lived: Bessie Ruth, Juanita
Frances, John Sterling Morton (my father), Edna Emma, and Maynard Hugh.
Cora lived most of her life in Lincoln Nebraska and died there on April
14, 1972.
Please send any info you have. Also pictures would be great - I have no
pictures of the Endsley's. The Uncle John you mentioned must be the
brother of Frances and Cora.
