Harley Dean Endsley, 74, Delta resident, died on Friday, June 3, 2011, at his residence in Delta, Colo.

Endsley was born to William Henry Otto and Leona Mae (Hammon) Endsley on May 15, 1937 in Ford County, Kan. He spent his childhood in Wiggins and graduated from high school there in 1955.

He married Linda Lee Moore on Dec. 11, 1965, in Arvada. The couple resided in Fort Morgan for 36 years before moving to Delta 13 years ago.

Endsley was employed as a field engineer for the Morgan County Rural Electric Association power supply company in Fort Morgan for many years.

He enjoyed hunting, collecting knives, cutting wood and he was an avid reader. More importantly, he loved spending time with his family and close friends.

Endsley was a member of the Garnet Mesa Baptist Church in Delta.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of Delta; two sons, Donald Endsley of Centennial, and Lance Endsley of Greeley; three daughters, Denise Vimond of St. Petersburg, Fla., Brenda Miles of Gilroy, Calif., and Natalie Wertz of Evans, Colo.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Endsley was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dale Endsley.

A memorial service honoring Endsley`s life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 9, at the Garnet Mesa Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Hilterbrand presiding. Military honors will be presented by the Lee Marts V.F.W. post # 3571.
