Milo Martin is in Webster County, Nebraska in 1900, 53, with Emeline H. 54 and foufour kids. Archibald is married to Martha E.
June 22, 1922 "Milo S. Martin was born in Indiana May 17,
1848. The last three years of his life were spent in Yuma
county, Colorado, whither he had come from Red Cloud,
Neb., his home for a number of years.
His health had been failing for some time, and
on June 16, 1922, he passed away in Vernon, Colo.
He is survived by three brothers - Warren W. of Columbia City, Ind.,
J. J. of Albion, Ind,, and Stephen A. of South Whitley, Ind. ;
by five children — Mrs. Eva Hushes of Sioux City, Iowa, Mrs.
Minnie Essig of Vernon. Colo., Archibald F. of Hastings, Neb.,
and Mrs. Maud Hedge and John, both of Red Cloud, Neb. ;
by 26 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Mr. Martin was a member of the Baptist church,
first in his native state and later in Red Cloud, Neb., where he was
taken for burial. His first wife died more than nine years ago,
and later, in 1919, he was married to Mrs. Bomford of Red Cloud. ***"

In 1900 McCook, Nebraska, Anna "Jeornberg" is 2, Mary 5, and Carl 9, with Peter A. 41 and Matilda 33.
January 4, 1917 "License to marry was issued Saturday, December 30,
to Cecil E. Essig of Happyville, and Miss Anna Jernburg of Red Cloud,
Nebraska. The couple were married that evening by Judge Jennings and
left immediately for the groom's farm near Happyville, where they will
make their home."
Cecil E. Essig proved up 280 acres in sections 29 and 30, 2S 46W in 1919.
In 1920 Cecil is in Cheyenne, Wyoming, a farmer, 27, with Anna 23
born in Nebraska, and Bonnie Marie 2 born in COlorado. They're with brother-in-law Roy J. Robeinson 29 and Marie 25, both born in Nebraska.
In 1930 Denver, Cecil is a contractor 37, with Anna 32, Bonnie M. 12, and Mildred E. 9, both born in Colorado.
Bonnie Essig married Wilfred Vote on May 31, 1930 in Arapahoe County.
Bonnie Marie Essig, 20, married William C. Opie in Colorado Springs on Dec 30, 1937.
They're in Denver in 1940, William 23 born in Nebraska, and Bonnie 22.
Mildred Essig, born Dec 4, 1920 at Yuma, traveled from Le Havre to New York in 1939.
Cecil is a contractor in 1940 Denver, with Ann 42 and Mildred E., 19.
When he registered for WWII, he listed Anna as his reference, both at 703 S. Sherman, Denver.
Mrs. Anna C. Essig died in April 1964, with obituaries in the April 26 Denver newspapers.
Cecil, born Oct 15, 1892, died July 1976, last residence Lakewood, Colorado. His obiurary is in the August 5, 1976 Denver newspaper.
BONNIE
October 1918 Wray "Mrs. J. H. Slick entertained at a slumber party
in honor of Misses Marguerite Keilman, Edna Newell
and Bonnie Essig Friday. A number of young ladies were present and all
report a most enjoyable time."
July 1919 "Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Silvius, L. Essig,
Miss Bonnie Essig and Anderson Hedge of Happyville were Friday business
callers in Wray."
Bonnie, a graduate of the Wray class of '22, was teaching in Yuma County in 1923.
In 1958 the Yuma Pioneer mentions "Bonnie Essig Vole, a former Yuma graduate now teaching art in a Denver school."

MAUD
In 1919 the Wray paper reported that Miss Maud Essig was suffering from "flu."
April 10, 1919 Wray "Miss Maude Essig, who is employed at the
Pinckard millinery shop, left Thursday for a visit at her home
in Happyville."
Earnest Gladstone Beach, 24, married Maude E. Essig in Washington County, Colorado on June 1, 1921.
In 1930 Yuma, on North Albany Street, Ernest G. Beach is a trucker, 38, born in Iowa, with Maude E. 29. Carla is 7.
In 1936 "Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Vole and Mrs. Ernest Beach and daughter Carla motored down from Denver last Thursday and were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Itten."
Ernest and Maud are farming in 1940 Yuma County.
1951 Yuma "Earnest Beach of Denver was in town one day the latter part of the week and we understand he sold his residence property here to Mr. and Mrs. Glen Chick.

JOSEPHINE
May 16, 1918 "James Henderson, who is home from Camp Funston,
and Josephine Essig, both of Happyville, were united in marriage by
Judge I. L. Barker Tuesday evening."
MABEL
In 1920 Big Horn County, Montana, Fred Burden is a rancher, 34, Mabel 25, Robert 5 and Mary 4.
In 1930 Sheridan, Wyoming, Fred Burden is a coal miner, 49, born in Indiana, with Mabel 35
born in Nebraska. Robert L. 15, Mary D. 14 were born in Nebraska, Ella Rachel 6 in Wyoming.
July 7, 1935 Sheridan, Wyoming "Returning from a week's vacation in Denver, Mrs. Mabel Burden and her two daughters, Mary and Elta, drove up to their home in Acme Sunday evening, only to see a funeral coach there which had come to remove the body of their husband and father, Fred Burden, 49, who had died suddenly while seated in a chair in the living room of his home some time Sunday afternoon.
Physicians expressed the belief his death resulted from possible injuries received Saturday when he had a fainting spell and fell down the steps of the tipple at the Acme mine where he was employed. An inquest is to be held to determine the cause of death, Coroner William F. Schunk announced today.
Mr. Burden apparently felt all right on Sunday morning and had gone to a neighbor's house for dinner Sunday noon. After dinner he returned home and was not seen alive again. His body, guarded by a pet dog, was discovered by a neighbor's child who had come to call on Mr. Burden.
Mr. Burden was born in Campbell, Neb., Nov. 11, 1885, and has been a resident of Acme for the past 18 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel Burden; two daughters, Mary and Elta, and one son, Robert."
Fred is buried in Sheridan # 35530044.
In 1940 Sheridan, Mabel is widowed, 45, with Alta 16, Robert 25, and his wife Bernice 26 born in Wyoming.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Henne Funeral Home for Mabel G. Burden, 88, who died Thursday, August 19, 1982 at Eventide Nursing Home.
The daughter of Lyman and Minnie Essig, she was born June 9, 1894, in Red Cloud, Neb. She married Fred Burden in Nebraska in 1913. They moved to Acme, Wyo., in 1918. He preceded her in death in 1935.
In 1936, she moved to Sheridan and purchased a store. She operated Burden's Grocery Store for 25 years, retiring in 1961.
She was a member of Royal Neighbors and the First Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Elta Steel, Sheridan; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Foster, Denver; Maude Beach, Corpus Christi, Tex., and Josephine Henderson, Denver; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Robert Burden, daughter, Mary Bowen, and two brothers and two sisters.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Don Beal. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Memorials may

MARY
December 20, 1917 "Gerald Silvius and Miss Mary Essig drove to
Akron Monday and were married. They were accompanied by Miss Mary's sister,
Mrs. Fred Burden and husband. The two contracting parties are well known
throughout the vicinity of their home near Happyville, and have numerous
friends who wish them abundant happiness in their life together. The
bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Essig and during the
past summer held a position with the Wray Telephone Company here when
she made many friends. Gerald is the son of Mr. and Mrs J. S. Silvius,
who are wide and favorably known in the Happyville neighborhood."
1920 "Mrs. Mary Silvius and daughter Garnet, also Isabel and Joy Essig visited Cecil Essig and family last week."
Gerald Silviius is in Mildred in 1920, married to Mary, 21, and they have
six-month-old Janet (Garnet). He was married to her at WWI registration,
saying he was born February 4, 1899. Mary later married Elmer Beehler, living in
Yuma and Sterling.
1927 "Mrs. Mary Essig Silvius and daughter Garnet, of the Heartstrong community, went up to Denver Saturday for a few days visit."
1935 "Mr. and Mrs. Jay Essig of Englewood drove down and spent Thanksgiving with the lady's parent, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Street. They planned to return to their home via sterling and visit Mr. Essig's relatives there."
In 1950 Mrs. Elizabeth Street's obituary said that she had moved to Corpus Christi to make their home with a daughter Josephine Essig.
In 1967 "Mrs. Josephine Essig of Corpus Christi and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Isabel Foster of Denver visited the Ora Street home in Brighton."

1930 "Mrs. E.G. Beehler and her mother, Mrs. Lyman Essig, went up to Brush for a short visit."

ISABEL
Isabel E. Foster 1912-2006 is buried in Wheat Ridge, # 96623403.
Preceded in death by husband Frank W. Foster; survived by son Phillip F. Foster of Mandeville, LA; grandchildren Tracy Hudson, Lisa Foster, Julie Mullin (John); great grandchildren Kimberly, Marc & Alicia Hudson, Nicole & John Mullin.
So is Frank W. Foster 1908-1989.
Isabelle Essig married Victor Willis Owen in Missoula Montana on May 18, 1935.
They're in Billings, Montana in 1940, Victor 26, Isabel 27, with his stepbrother Virgil Brewer, 20, both born in Kanss.
Victor married Clara Marie Cunningham in June 1982 in Adams County, Colorado.
JAY
Jay L. Essig married Josephine V. Street in Kirk on June 23, 1935.
In 1940 Denver, Jay Essig is a carpenter, 32, born in Nebraska, with Josephine 29 Colorado, and Joyce 1.
June 1956 Corpus Christi "Williard Travis Rushton and his bride, the former Joyce Velma Essig, will make their home at 333 East Lakeside Drive, following their marriage June 15 at ilie Naval Air Station Protestant Chapel. Chaplain- William Sodt read the double ring vows. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs: Jay L. Essig, 238 Lakeside, and Mr. Rushton is the on of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rushton of Kingvflle."

Jay L. Essig, born August 30, 1907, died May 24, 1978, "husband of Josephine Velma Essig."
He was a maintainence worker for the Flour Bluff school district, residing at 238 Lakeside in Corpus Christi.
He was to be buried in Memory Gardens, Corpus Christi. # 172954780.
