Uriah Brewer Sawyer - Augusta C. Sawyer

In 1870 Pawnee County, Nebraska Uriah B. is 15, with Wm. F,  38 and John B. 13.

History of Marshall County, Kansas "U. B. SAWYER was born in Washington County, Vt., December 22, 1857. Removed at the age of fifteen years to Pawnee County, Neb.; educated in common schools; was a farmer until 1879, when he came to Axtell, Marshall County, and opened a harness and leather store; has a large stock of merchandise, and does a thriving trade. Was married July 7, 875 to Miss Huldah L. Briles. They have two children -- Hattie and Pearl"

In 1880 Marshall County Kansas Uri.. Sawyers is 23, married Hulda, 22, with Hettie 4,  Nebraska and one-month-old James, born in Kansas.

In 1885 Pawnee County Nebraska Uriah Sawyer, 29, is a teamster, "Henlea"  29 is a housekeeper, with Lottie 4 and Pearley (male) 3.

In 1895 U.B. Sawyer, 48, Augusta 33, Hattie 19, Pearl 14, and Virgil Sawyer are in Washington County Kansas.  Oliver Buskman  13 and Ethel Buskman 10. 

Henrietta Elvina "Hattie" Sawyer Callam , forn  Apr. 22, 1876 in Pawnee County Nebraska, died  Oct. 28, 1934 in  Pawnee City
Daughter of Uriah & Hulda L. (Briles)Sawyer. Married Ebe Callam on September 4, 1897 in Pawnee County, Nebraska. Mother to Franklin, Glenn, Vera, Verna, Myrtle, Stanley, Grace, Florence, Joseph and Charles Callam.

In 1900 Platte County, Nebraska Uriah said he was born Dec 1853, Augusta 1862 in Michigan, Ethel Jun 1883 Nebraska, Ethel Jun 1883 Kansas, and Mary June 1896 Kansas.

In 1910 Uriah B. Sawyer, 55, born in Vermont, wife Augusta C. 48, Illinois, and Nola M. 13, born in Kansas, are living in north Yuma County  Augusta has had four children, three living.- .  On the same page is the large William Turner family

Brewer Sawyer proved up a quarter in 17, 5N 48W in 1913.  Witnesses were Clarence E. Buzzell, Adam D. Young, William H. Buzzell, and John Bird, all of Bryant.

1909 "H.L. Will, J.S. Duboise, Geo. Rider and N.B. Sawyer of Smith Center, Kansas, were driving over our farm lands Tuesday."

In 1920, 1925, and 1930 Uriah and Augusta are back in Smith County, Kansas.
