With his parents in 1920 Yuma County, Lawrence 22 is married to Josephine 20, born in Colorado.

May 1924 "Mrs. Ike Arnold, who had been visiting with her father at Boulder, returned home Saturday."

Loranne Eleanor Arnold, 2, died in Pomeroy, Garfield County, Washington on September 2, 1925.

Lawrence and Josephine are in Shoshone County, Idaho in 1930, with Dorothy 9, Jean 5, Van Kent 4 aand Iris Rae 2.

In 1940 Shoshone County, Lawrence is a miner, 42, with Josephine 41, Dorothy 19 born in Colorado, Jean 15 born in Oregon, Van 14 and Iris 12 in Washington.

Dorothy Evelyn Arnold, daughter of Lawrence E. Arnold and Josephine Lyden, married John G. O'Hara on April 30, 1946 in Burke, Idaho.
December 1997 "Justice John J. O'Hara, 75, of Edgewood, Kentucky, died Sunday at his home. He was a former justice with the Kentucky Supreme Court and a former Kenton County Commonwealth Attorney. He was a senior partner in the law firm of O'Hara, Ruberg, Taylor, Sloan & Sergent. He served as president of the Kentucky Defense Council, the National District Attorneys Association, the Commonwealth Attorneys Association and the Kenton County Bar Association. He was a fellow with the American College of Trial Lawyers and International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He was a volunteer with Lawyers for the Poor, and the 1996 Outstanding Lawyer Award winner from the Northern Kentucky Bar Association.
Justice O'Hara was a member of the Board of Directors of Carmel Manor Nursing Home, Xavier University, Xavier High School and Campbell Lodge Boys Home, where he also was a former president. He was a past president of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, a member of Summit Hills Country Club, and was the Kenton County Jaycees' 1956 Outstanding Man of the Year.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy A. Arnold O'Hara; sons, Michael O'Hara of Cincinnati, Kevin O'Hara of Stafford, Vt., Dennis O'Hara of Key West, Fla., and Brian O'Hara of Ft. Wright; daughters, Sharon O'Hara of Denver, Mary Keife Hyland of Memphis, Tenn., and Kit O'Hara of Covington; and 12 grandchildren."

Dorothy O'Hara, 91, died in Edgewood, Kentucky in August 2012.

GAYNELL

Gaynell was born January 16, 1896 in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Gaynell married Elmer Nordholm on May 16, 1917 in Logan County, Colorado.

The Haxtun Evangelical Lutheran Church had Elmer born April 1895 at Bryant, with Gaynell having Hilda on May 16, 1912 in Bryant, June Ruby born Sept 9, 1919 Elmer Arnold Nordholm born Nov 26, 1924, Donna Marie born Aug 3, 1937 at Haxtun.

In 1920 Yuma County, Elmer is farming, 24, Gaynell 23, Hilda M. 2 and newborn June R.

In 1930 Yuma County, Elmer and Gaynell are both 34, Hilda M. 11, June R., 10, Elmer A. 5.

Elmer is a road laborer in 1940 Wray, 44, with Gaynell 44, June 20, Arnold E. 15, and Donna M. 2, all three born in Colorado.

Elmer, 66, died in Coos County, Oregon on June 12, 1961.

Gaynell, 82, died in Coos County on September 11, 1978.

November 1942 "June Nordholm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nordholm of Wray, and Leroy D. Morris, son of Mrs. Mae Morris of Yuma, were united in marriage, at Vancouver, Washington Saturday, October 31, 1942 at 12:20 p.m.. Rev. Paul L. Kunzman officiated at the ceremony and the bridal pair were attended by Verne L. Morris and Mrs. Mary Kunzman, the former a brother of the groom. Mr. and Mrs. Morris will make their home at 6210 N. Delaware, Portland, Oregon where Mr. Morris has employent at the Oregon ship yards."

1945

1946 "Six people were injured, and seriously, early Sunday morning on the highway, about three hundred yards west of the Experiment Station corner. The accident occured about 12:05 Sunday morning. Junior Lanning, accompanied by Ellsworth Chadwick of Otis, had been to Akron following the dance, and were on their return horns. The Oregon car was going west. The two Otis boys were in Lai> ning’s ’35 Pontiac, while the other car was a ’3B Ford coupe. The driver of the Oregon car was L. D. Morris of Coos Bay, Oregon. He was accompanied by his wife, June Morris, and her father Elmer Nordholm and 9-year-old daughter, Donna Marie Nordholm."

October 1946 "Mr. and Mrs. Guy Arnold of Denver came down last week to visit at the home of the former's sister, Mrs. Elmer Nordholm, near Idalia. Mrs. Arnold returned home Wednesday morning and Mr. Arnold remained for a longer stay with the Nordholms who are convalescing from the effects of their recent automobile accident."

GENEVIEVE
In 1924 Mr. and Mrs. Charles Arnold and Mrs. Ray McKinney motored to Greeley for a few days' visit with Mr. and Mrs. Leo Arnold and Genevieve Arnold.

Genevieve Arnold and Finis Russell McGuire married on April 30, 1925 in Lane County, Oregon.

In 1930 Yuma County, Genevieve is 22, married to Finis R. McGuire 25 born in Missouri. Lyle L. is 4, Merl G. 1, both born in Colorado.

In 1940 Coos County, Oregon, Finis is operating a road grader, 35, Genevieve 32, Lyole L. 14, Merle G. 11, Dean D. 6, all four born in Colorado, and Joyce J. 3 in Oregon.

Finis is buried in Coos Bay 1904-1964 # 1i08283391.
"They had five children: Lyle livene, Ivan Lloyd, Merle Grant, Dean Dell, and Joyce Joan."

In 1990 Genevieve McIver was a survivor of her sister Daisy McKinney.

Genevieve Geraldine McGuire McIver, 96, died October 6, 2004 in Coos County, spouse Emory.

Lyle L. McGuire 1925, is buried in Coos County # 184045585, with Maxine E. )Lundberg) 1928-1997.

A celebration of life for Lyle Livene McGuire, 92, of Coos Bay, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Coquille Valley Elks Lodge #1935, 54942 Maple Heights Road in Coquille. Private interment was held at Allegany Cemetery.
Lyle "Papa" McGuire was born Dec. 7, 1925 in Yuma, Colo., to Finis and Genevieve McGuire. He passed away Sept. 2, 2018, in his Coos Bay home .
Lyle moved with his family to Coos County when he was 8 years old. He later attended Coos River High. After graduation, Lyle joined the United States Army, training as a paratrooper and serving in Japan during World War II. After the war and a couple years of college, Lyle returned to the Coos Bay area and married the love of his life, Maxine Lundberg in 1949. He and Maxine raised their family in their beloved Allegany home. They loved camping, hunting and dancing to Dixieland jazz – Lyle’s love of the outdoors and dancing was both evident and contagious.
Lyle worked as a logger in Coos and Curry Counties for 30 years, beginning his career with Bright Lumber Company and retiring as job foreman for Rock Point Logging. Upon retirement, he harvested his own timber, which he and Maxine replanted and managed for 40 years.
Lyle was a proud and loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. His quick wit and impeccable story telling made visits with him both joyful and educational. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, all of whom doubtless share many fond memories of their time with him.
He is survived by his sister, Joyce Leuthold and her husband, Bill of Coos Bay; his daughters, Judy Knutson and her husband, John of Coos Bay and Cathy McDonald and her husband, Ross of Coquille; his daughter-in-law, Karen McGuire of Allegany; his six grandchildren and their spouses, Ty Koellmann, Bryan Knutson, Kelsey Pounds, Kara Davidson, Trisha McGuire, and Christine Mast; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Lyle was preceded in death by his father, Finis; mother, Genevieve; brothers, Merle "Cork" and Dean; wife, Maxine; daughter, Linda Alderin; and son, Pat.

Merle Grant McGuire, 73, died in Coos County August 15, 2002, spouse Gladys.

Dean D. McGuire, 72, died in Lane County, Oregon on February 11, 2005, spouse Georgia.

BERTHA

In 1900 Bertha is in Wapello County, Iowa, born January 1887 in Iowa, living with grandparents Paul Jordan born March 1826 and Mary Nov 1829, both born in Ohio. Mary has had seven kids, all living.

One post says "Willing Willy Arnold. He was born Wapello county, IA June 1901 - son of James (Grant) Arnold and Mercy Byrum. Information on his obit states he was married in Iowa. Obit gives wife name as Marie and a daughter Maxine Sheppard who lives CO. Marriage would be about or after 1920. He died May 1978, Kern Co, CA"


OLEN

Olan G. Arnold, 28, married Dora Filkins in Sterling on April 15, 1916.

May 1916

Laura Thompson and Jasper Newton LASATER had married on April 15, 1900 in St. Clair, Missouri, and then married Knut A. Hagen on November 26, 1919 in Cut Bank, Montana, age 38.
So Laura was not likely Dora's sister, but a friend or cousin...

Dora was in Crawford County, Kansas in 1900, born June 1890 in Kansas, with Robert Filkins 40 born in Wisconsin and Clarinda B. 43 in Illinois. Mary G. is 14, Lucy E. 12, Dora M. 9, and Pearl M. 8.


In 1920 Great Falls, Montana, Olen G. Arnold is 30, born in Iowa, with Dora 29 in Kansas. In the same house are Fred Arnold 25, born in Iowa, Marjorie 23 in Nebraska, and their son Ron one month old, born in Montana. Both brothers are mechanics.

February 3, 1926 " Pearl Filkins, 31 years old, died at the Redwood City hospital last night. She had lived in Redwood City about a year. She was a native of Kansas, the daughter of Robert and Clara Filkins of Redwood City, and a sister of Mrs. Gertrude Forsyth, Mrs. Lucy South and Mrs. Dora Arnold. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Jair.es Crowe funeral parlors. Interment will be at Cry....sg Lawn. "

Olan is a cleaner, 40, with Dora M. 39.

This might be referring to Dora Filkins Arnold, wife of Olan, instead of Charles.

Olan George Arnold 1888-1940 is buried in Santa Clara # 151260800.

Dora Maude (Filkins) Arnold 1890-1987 died in Santa lara County, per # 106674470.

Her sister Lucy E. (Filkins) Soutyh 1887-1985 also died in Santa Clara.

Fred K. Arnold, 22, married Marjorie B. Joss on December 24, 1916 in Boulder.

In 1920 Great Falls, Montana, Olen G. Arnold is 30, born in Iowa, with Dora 29 in Kansas. In the same house are Fred Arnold 25, born in Iowa, Marjorie 23 in Nebraska, and their son Ron one month old, born in Montana. Both brothers are mechanics.

1961 Clarkville items "Mr. and Mrs. Fred Arnold and Mr. and Mrs. Ray McKinney called at Sam Birds Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold were former residents of this community. Mrs. Arnold taught in the local schools."

In 1940, Ray is a road maintainer, with Daisy on Dexter Street in Wray. Charles C. is 17, Francis L. 6.

Grace May Probasco, born May 21, 1918 to Daisy and ray, died in Mesa Arizona January 25, 1990. SIsters Lois Katzberg of Estacada, Oregon and Ladean Dietcsh and husband Duane of Valencia, California., uncle Lawrence Arnold f Mesa, Arizona.

LEO

Leo Dain Arnold and Muriel Evelina Stenson married in Yuma County on September 28, 1923.

Leo is a barber in 1930 Yuma, 31, with Muriel E. 25 and Gene Dale 1.

In 1940 he's in a California state hospital, married.
Muriel is a saleslady, 34 and Jessie 11 are living in Redwood City in 1940, with her sister Jessie (Stenson) SOrdez 25 and her husband Gale 34.

When Gene Dale Arnold registered for WWII, his reference was mother Murile CARLSON.

He's buried in Santa Clara, California 1898-1964 # 159861923.

GLEN

Glen Arnold and Blanche E. Stenson married in Logan County, Colorado on April 16, 1923.

They had Dwight Glen Arnold on June 2, 1928 in Garfield County, Washington.

In 1930 Yuma County, next to Elmer and Gaynell Nordholm, Glen is farming 24, with Blanche E. 25 born in Missouri. Doris E. 6 was born in Colorado, Kenneth L. 3, and Dwight G. 1 in Washington.





Glen H. Arnold and Annie M. Johnson married on July 8, 1935 in Yuma County.
"Marriage license was issued Monday at the county clerk's office in Wray to Glen H. Arnold and Anna M. Johnson, both of Yuma."

In 1940 Wray, Glenn is 34, now married to Anna M. 21 born in Colorado. Kenneth is 13, Dwight 11, Charles W. 4, Shirley A. 2, and Barbara R. 1.

1942 "Mrs. George Bartlett, formerly of Eckley, writes to have her paper changed to Greeley where Mr. Bartlett is now in the welding school. She also reports that Glen Arnold, who attended the welding school for four months, has moved to California and is now employed in a shipyard. "

Glen, born September 16, 1905, died November 30, 1964 in Coos County, Oregon.

Kenneth L. Arnold, born May 5, 1926, died in Douglas County, Nebada on October 16, 2010.
