Elmer L. and Minnie (Tooley) Shroyer, 5 North 43 West



In 1900 Cloud County, Kansas, John L. Shroyer was 42 Head, Julia Shroyer 18 Wife, William H. Shroyer 23 Son, Elmer Shroyer 12 Son, and Kesiah Shroyer 13 Daughter.

Minnie was also in Cloud County in 1900, with Rolla M. Tooley 34 Head, Mrytle C. Tooley 30 Wife, Charles K. Tooley 11 Son, Minnie E. Tooley 9 Daughter, Ora M. Tooley 7 Daughter, and Naomia Tooley 6/12 Daughter.


Miltonvale, Kansas " Miss Minnie L. Tooley and Elmer L. Shroyer were united in matrimony at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. M. O. Tooley, June 25th, 1907, Rev. M. J. Bailey of the M. E. Church officiating. The wedding was a very quiet home affair, only the immediate family and relatives of the contracting parties being present. Both of these young people are well known to all of our citizens, having resided here all their lives. Elmer is the popular and euergetic proprietor of the City Barber Shop and we do not exaggerate when we say he has the confidence and respect of every business man in the town. Mrs. Shroyer is the eldest daughter of Mrs. Tooley and is respected and esteemed by all for her gentle, lady like manner and sweet disposition that make her a general favoiite. Both are members of Rev. Bailey's church and are participants in all church work. Their many friends will join the Record in congratulations and in wishing them a long and happy journey through life. "

His stepmother Julia (Drown) Shroyer and children were also Valley precinct in 1920.

Minnie C. Pritchard, born 4 Oct 1890 in Concordia, Kan. had married in 1922 in Green River, living in Rock Springs, spouse Roy D. Pritchard.
Children were Thelma Copyak, Vivian Woodhead, and Marie Smith.
Sibling was Naomi Pellrrfan.

"Funeral services for Thelma May Copyak were conducted Thursday, May 31, 1990 at the Vase Funeral Chapel. The Rev. David Wade of the First Congregational Church officiated.
Interment was in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were John Aguirre, Joel Newcomb, James Newcomb, Gonzo Melendez, Norm Dona and Dennis Copyak. Honorary pallbearer was Jim Newcomb.
Mrs. Copyak, 82, of 1113 Ninth St., Rock Springs, died at about 4:30 a.m. Monday, May 28, 1990 at her home.
A longtime resident of Rock Springs and former resident of Superior, Mrs. Copyak died following a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 5, 1908 in Miltonville, Kan., the daughter of the late Elmer and Minnie Tooley Shroyer. She attended schools in Wray, Colo., and married Haven Musgrove Sr. He preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1950. She later married Edward Copyak in Grand Junction, Colo., on April 21, 1955. Mrs. Copyak was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Copyak of Rock Springs; one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Hilda) Fabiny of Salt Lake City; two sisters, Mrs. Wilford (Marie) Smith of Cave Junction, Ore., and Mrs. Bernard (Vivian) Woodhead of Sheridan; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Copyak was preceded in death by one daughter, Helen and one son, Haven Musgrove Jr.

VIVIAN

—Graveside services for Bernard Woodhead were Tuesday, Feb. 20, 1990 in Sheridan. The Rev. Richard Edgerton officiated.
Woodhead, 87, of Sheridan, died Feb. 16 in Sheridan County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 12, 1903 in Sunnyside, Utah, a son of George and Agnes Woodhead.
He grew up in Sheridan and began working in the coal mines as a teenager. He moved to Superior to work in a coal mine. He married Vivian Schroyer in Superior May 15, 1927. He worked for the Union Pacific Coal Co. where he became a foreman until he retired in 1965. He moved back to Sheridan in 1986. Fishing, hunting and playing baseball with his children were his hobbies.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Woodhead, Sheridan; a son, George Woodhead, Seattle, Wash.; three daughters, Bernice Uhls, Sheridan, Connie Rideout, Kansas City, Kan., and Donna Parrish, Casper; two brothers, James Woodhead, Walnut Creek, Calif., and Harry Woodhead, Acme; a sister, Eilene Curtis, Anchorage, Alaska; 17 grandchildren; 20 greag-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

" Graveside services for Vivian L. Woodhead, 83, of Sheridan will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 1993 at the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery by Rev. David Duprey. Mrs. Woodhead died Oct. 19, 1993, at the Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin of natural causes. She was born Sept. IS, 1910, in Salina, Kan., the daughter of Kenneth and Minnie Shroyer. She grew up in Superior, Wyo. On May 15, 1927, she married Bernard Woodhead in Superior, where they lived until moving to Sheridan in 1986. He died in 1990. Mrs. Woodhead enjoyed cro cheting, gardening and taking care of her grandchildren. She is survived by a son, George Woodhead of Seattle, Wash.; three daughters, Bernice Uhls of Sheridan. Connie Ride-out of Kansas City, Kan., and Donna Parrish of Casper. Also surviving are a sister, Marie Smith of Oregon; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Memorials to the Senior Center, 21 1 Smith St., Sheridan 82801 would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ferries Funeral Home. "


"On May 27, 2019, at the age of 86, Bernice Uhls (Sheridan, Wyoming) passed away. Family and friends can send flowers and condolences in memory of the loved one. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bernice Uhls to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Woodhead and Vivian Woodhead; her brother George E. Woodhead; her children, Daniel L. Uhls and Donna M. Uhls; and her granddaughter Emily S. Rieke.
She is survived by : her sisters, Donna Parrish of Casper, WY and Connie Rideout of Kansas City, KS; and her children, Paul Uhls (Dennis), Debra Uhls, Diane Maestas and Darlene Merrell of Rock Springs, WY.. She is also survived by many grandchildren, and even a few great grandchildren.


MARIE

Wilfred H. Smith and Twila M. Shroyer had Fred Leroy Smith on 2 Aug 1937 in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
(Fred died December 16, 2012.)

In 1940 Las Vegas, Nevada, Wilfred Smith is 33 Head, Marie Smith 27 Wife, Shirley Smith 8 Daughter, Ruth Smith 7 Daughter, and Fred Smith 2 Son.

Wilfred Henry Smith May 8, 1906-May 18, 1995 died in Josephine County, Oregon, spouse Twila.

Twila M. Smith, 85, died on December 27, 1998 in Klickitat County, Washington.
