A February 8, 1918 notice says that Edna G. Jonson, "one of the heirs of Ira B. Day, deceased (wife deceased)"

Rose Lee SUEY Jonson, born 1874, died March 5, 1915, and is buried at Superior, Nebraska. Parents Michael and Emily Suey are in the Superior cemetery.
| Helga "Jackie" Atkins, 85, died Tuesday September 7, 1993 at
the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital, Superior. Services will
be Saturday 10:30 a.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church,
Superior, with the Rev. Jerry Dean officiating. Interment will be in the
Evergreen Cemetery. Atkins, the daughter of Frank and Rose Suey Jonson, was born Jan. 5, 1908 on a farm in Nuckolls County Neb. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, the Rebekah Lodge, 35 year member of the Hospital Auxiliary, all of Superior, and The Volunteer Red Cross. Survivors include her husband, Charles Herbert Atkins, Superior; brothers, Francis Jonson, Canon City, Colo., and Forest Jonson, Olympia, Wash.; and a sister, Ida Southwell, Denver JULY 1972 Superior, Nebraska

In 1930 Jerome County, Idaho, Elizabeth is a housekeeper for James Bowman and his seventeen-year--old son. They have Hazel L. 18, Orvill B. 14, Ira B. 11, Kenneth G 8, Eleda E 5, and Frank W. 2.. Eleda was born in Olorado, Frank and Carl in Wyoming, so they must have left Colorado around 1926.
Carl returned to Yuma County - living in Yuma for many years with a career as a highway patrolman.

Cecil Frances Wickersham (Day) Kersey - My mother's name is Mary Elizabeth Fitch Wikersham Day. She was born on February 19th at Muddy Creek, Kremmling, Colorado. Her father's name is Frank George Fitch and her mother's name is Effie Eliza Holly Fitch. The following is a brief outline of my mother's life. Her father died when she was eight years old and her brother was one year older. So they spent a lot of time at her grandparent's (Holly) home. My grandmother was a teacher also Grandpa Fitch was a teacher and mother was too. She married Fred Wickersham. After she had Hazel, she and my father were separated and eventually divorced. I was born eight months after their separation. In fact, she didn't know she was pregnant with me at that time. She ran a boarding house and took care of the both of us. She then taught school. She was teaching when she met "Barney" Orville Fredrick Day. They ranched. He always kept horses and plowed gardens. After they moved to town he dug basements and worked on roads, etc. After he couldn't work anymore, she went back to teaching and made a living for herself after he passed away. She taught in Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado. After retirement, she lived on her Social Security and teachers' retirement. She lived in Heritage Homes in an apartment for several years and then in a nursing home for about two years, where she died July 27th, 1973 in Jerome, Idaho and is buried in the Jerome Cemetery. |
