June 3, 1910 "S. R. Oliver, of Idalia, and Mrs. Mattie Murrow,
of Wray, were united in marriage at the M. E. parsonage,
Thursday afternoon, June 2, 1910, by Rev. G. L. Rulison.
They will make their home near Idalia."

"A telephone message was received her Saturday
notifying the Alex Shaw and Byron Taylor families
of the death of Mrs. S. R. Oliver at Idalia.
The funeral was held Sunday at Idalia."

widowed, farming. Angie A. Oliver, also widowed, 53, born inIowwa is with him.
Angie Walker, daughter of Electra Walker, married J. I. Oliver on Jan 18, 1892 in Linn County, Missouri.
Angie was widowed in 1900 Adair County, Missouri, 23, with Oley 7. Electra Walker is 52.
In 1940 Jefferson County, Colorado, Angie is widowed, 64, and grandson Robert Oliver is with her, 23, born in Arkansas.
March 14, 1946 "Funeral services for Samuel R. Oliver,
highly esteemed long-time resident of this community,
who succumbed Wednesday of last week, were held Saturday
afternoon at the Lockwood Mortuary with Rev. J. E. Brecheisen
of Idalia officiating. Burial was in Glendale cemetery at Vernon.
Mr. Oliver was born May 28, 1864, at Kiota, Iowa, and was 81
years, nine months and eight days old at the time of his death.
In November 1886, he was united in marriage with Angie Montgomery
at Concordia, Kansas, and to this union two children were born —
Theodore W. Oliver of Concordia, and Lela Jones of Flemingsburg,
Kentucky, both of whom survive. Mrs. Angie Oliver died in August 1905.
In 1907, Mr. Oliver came to Colorado and homesteaded three
miles north of Idalia. In June of 1910 he was married to Mattie
Jane Murrow, who preceded him in death on January 19, 1929.
In 1935, Mr. Oliver moved to Wray and has since lived here,
making many friends with his cheerful outlook on life.
He was a member of the Idalia Evangelical church."

February 1911 "Theodore and Lela Oliver came out from Concordia, Kansas, Monday of last week to visit their fatlieiyS. R. Oliver, of north of Idalia. The son returned home Friday night but Miss Lela will remain in Yuma county for an indefinite period. "
March 1911 "Miss Lela Oliver is back to Idalia once more. She has been visiting at her old home in Kansas the past few months."
February 1, 1912 "G. L. Jones, a young homesteader of Idalia
precinct, and Miss Lela Oliver, daughter of S. R. Oliver,
were married in Wray by County Judge Jennings last Monday evening.
The groom made final proof on his homestead on the same day and
the newly married couple will make their home thereon. The
Gazette joins their friends in best wishes and congratulations. "
George was farming alone in 1910 Idalia precinct, 28, born in Kentucky.
November 28, 1912 "We have the announcement of the
birth of a girl baby to Mr. and Mrs. George Jones of Idalia precinct
with the assurance that all were doing well but Grandpa Oliver."
George L. Jones proved up 160 acres in sections 28 and 33 in 1912, and another 160 acres in section 28 in 1913.
February 19, 1914 "Little Miss Bertha Jones, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Geo. Jones is very sick this week with pneumonia."
February 26, 1914 "George Jones and wife are the
proud parents of a baby boy born Saturday, February 21."
Lela proved up 320 acres in sections 32 and 33, 3S 44W in 1915.
"Claimant names as witnesses: Henry M. Elliott, Ralph S. Elliott, Samuel R. Oliver, all of Idalia, Colo.; David T. Van Meter of Wray , Colo."
February 11, 1915 "S. R. Oliver and daughter, Mrs. Lela E. Jones,
of Idalia, were county seat visitors yesterday. Mrs Jones was making final proof on her homestead."
George Luther Jones registered for WWI in Idalia, born January 29, 1878, farming.
In 1920 they're farming in Fleming County,
Kentucky. George is 42, Lila 29 born in Kansas,
Bertha 7, Harlan 5, and Amy 3 born in Colorado, George newborn in Kentucky.
George Arthur Jones 1919-1921 is buried in Grange City # 66469517.
In 1930, still farming, George is 52, Lela E. 39, Bertha M. 17, Harland E. 16, Amy 13, and Clifton C. 8.
In 1940 Fleming County, George is 62, Lela 49, Amy 23, and "Cody" 15.
George, born January 29, 1877 in Bath County,
Kentucky to Abraham Jones and Zerelda Ellington,
died in Flemingsburg, Kentucky on Nov 13, 1963.
He was to be buried in the Fleming County Cemetery.

Clifton Jones, 26, born Jan 12, 1922 at
Green City, Kentucky, married Kathryn Fritch on
October 25, 1947 in Connersville, Indiana.
He's buried in Williamson County,
Illinoise # 114908456, 1922-2005 - Army Sergeant in WWII.
Elsie Catherine was born March 15, 1916 in Illinois to Clyde T. Kowalsky and Ada Moss, named Fritch in 1836, Jones in 1956, dying April 13, 2001.
Bertha M. Stephens 1912-2004 is buried in Bath County, Kentucky # 182289031, with Marvin C. Stepphens 1911-1995.

She lived in Winchester, formerly in Owingsville. Survivors were two sons, Bennie (Marlene) of Winchester oannd Bbby Williams of Baltimore, Maryland. sister Bertha Sephens of Fleminsgsburg and Cody Jones of Marion, Illinois.
