Virginia had married first Nelson Wilkason and then Robert Meeker.
W.A. Murrow and Mattie J. Meeker married December 20, 1883 in Mahaska County, Iowa. Her father was R.E. Meeker.

June 6, 1902 "W. A. Murrow of Vernon, was in Wray Saturday, and
took occasion to call, and subscribe for this great news indicator.
Mr. Murrow has been quite ill for some weeks and is still
looking pretty poorly."
February 1903 "Wm. A. Murrow died and was buried by
the W.O.W. on Sat the 21. He left a wife and five children."

1905 "Mrs. Mattie Murrow will hold a public sale at her home southwest of Vernon seven miles on Tuesday,
October 31, at which time she will sell cows, horses, implements and households.

June 3, 1910 "S. R. Oliver, of Idalia, and Mrs. Mattie Murrow,
of Wray, were united in marriage at the M. E. parsonage,
Thursday afternoon, June 2, 1910, by Rev. G. L. Rulison.
They will make their home near Idalia."
In 1910 Idalia precinct, Samuel R. Oliver is 46, Mattie 41. Mattie's had five kids, four living. Samuel's daughter Lela 19 born in Kansas, Fred Murrow 17, Elsey 13, and Ella 10 are with them.
Mattie Jane (Meeker)(Murrow) Oliver 1868-1929 is buried in Idalia # 55218364.
"Mrs. S. R. Oliver, who has been a resident of the Idalia
Community for a goodly number of years, died at the Oliver
residence at an eariy hour Saturday morning, January 19th,
Mrs. Oliver had been a great sufferer from high blood pressure
and hardening of the arteries for the past years until relief
came by the hand of death. Funeral services were held from her
late residence last Sunday afternoon with Rev. Wm. Force
her pastor delivering the address, and burial was made
in the Glendale cemetery.
Mattie Jane Meeker was born in Zenna, Ohio, July 20, 1868.
She was united in marriage to W. A. Murrow in the year 1884.
To this union were born five children, Myrtle F.,
Wm. Edward, Fred Glen, Robert Elsa, and Ella Pearl,
all of whom survive their mother,
with the exception of Myrtle F. who preceeded her mother in 1903,
the husband also following in the same year.

In the year 1910 she was united in marriage to S. R. Oliver,
and has since made her residence here. She leaves to mourn
their loss the four children, the grand children,
and the sorrowing husband, also four brothers, and a host
of friends.
The floral tributes were lovely especially those from the Mother's Club and the Vernon Grange."
January 24, 1929 Joes items in the Yuma Pioneer "A telephone message was received her Saturday notifying the Alex Shaw and Byron Taylor families of the death of Mrs. S. R. Oliver at Idalia. The funeral was held Sunday at Idalia."
MYRTLE FLORENCE
November 1901 "Asa Miller has a large 4-room house about ready for
occupancy.
Wonder what a single man wants with such a large house?"
January 3, 1902 "Last Wednesday evening the home of Mr. and Mrs. Custer
was the scene of a very pretty wedding when Asa J. Miller and Myrtle Murrow
, both of Vernon wore united in marriage, Rev. Cameron performing the
ceremony. After the ceremony the happy couple and a few friends sat down
to an oyster supper, which Mrs. Custer had thoughtfully prepared."
Asa J. Miller, 33, married Birdella M. DeVore on March 17, 1907 in Yuma County.
In 1910 Vernon precinct, Asa is 36, born in Nebraska, married three years to Bedella 26 born iN Nebraska, her first marriage. Lloyd is 7, born in Colorado.
January 1914 "Lloyd, the twelve-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Asa Miller
of Vernon, is spending the week in Wray with his uncle, A. J. Miller,
and family."
Lloyd was living with his father in 1920, 1930 and 1940 census in Yuma County.
May 29, 1940 "Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Lowry of White Township announce
the engagement of their daughter Esther Lucile to Lloyd A. Miller,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Asa J. Miller of Wray, Colorado.
Miss Lowry was graduated from the local high school and from Muskingum College.
She has been a member of the Burlington High School faculty, Burlington, Colo.,
for the past five years. Mr. Miller graduated from Wray High School,
Wray, Colorado and attended Colorado University at Boulder, Colo.,
where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
He is employed in the U. S. Posta1 Service and is located at Wray,
where the couple will make their home."
July 6, 1940 "Miss Esther Lowry, formerly of White Township,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Lowry of White Township, was married to Lloyd Miller
of Wray, Colorado, son of Mr. and Mrs. Asa Miller of Wray, Colo.,
on June 29th in the United Presbyterian Church in Greeley, Colo.
Dr. J. C. Pinkerton officiated at the ceremony."
October 13, 1977 Indiana, Pennsylvania "LLOYD ASA MILLER, 74,
of 104 Northwestern Ave., Monroe, Ohio, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 1977
. A son of Asa Joseph and Myrtle Murrow Miller, he was born Jan. 10, 1903,
in Yuma County, Colorado. Mr. Miller was a past master of the Wray, Colorado Lodge
71 F&A.M. He had been a mail carrier in Wray, Colo., for 33 years before retiring in
1967 and moving to his Ohio address. Surviving are his widow, Esther Lowry Miller,
Monroe, Ohio; a half-brother, Everett W. Miller, Wray, Colo.;
two half-sisters, Mrs. B.R. Egeland, Boulder, Colo.; and Mrs. Raymond Froid,
Ft. Collins, Colo.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today in Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana,
where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, with the
Rev. Richard L. Cassel officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery,
Indiana. "
Lloyd is buried in Indiana # 149097319. So is Esther (Lowry) Miller 1901-1993.
Esther was in Burlington, Colorado in 1940, 38,
born in Pennsylvania, single, a typist for the NMA school project.
Her father Harry L. Lowry 1866-1952 is buried in the same cemetery $ 149097294. So is her mother Belle (Lucas) Lowry 1871-1957 # 149097298.
WILLIAM EDWARD
Edward William Murrow, 18, married Edith Dickson on Dec 13, 1905 in Yuma COunty.
Edith's father Robert Dickson 1835-1908 is buried in Vernon # 58129582.
In 1910 Edward and Edith, both 22, are farming in Yuma County. Gerald is 3, Lena newborn.
August 14, 1908 "About three weeks ago a bouncing ten pound boy
arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Murrow, thirteen miles southwest
of Vernon. We are sure he will be a good Republican,
for Cosie Blanchard had the honor of naming the boy Taft Murrow,
after the Republican candidate for president of the United States,
Wm. H. Taft."
July 1913 "Albin Dickson of Wymore, Nebr., and his stepbrother,
Cam McDonald of Hannibal, Mo., who have been in the mountains for some
time, stopped in Wray on their way home last week and visited a few
days with the former's cousins, the Dickson boys, Mrs. Elmer Kastin
and Mrs. W. E. Murrow. The two young men liked Yuma county so well
that they may decide to buy some land and cast their lots with us."
June 1913 "Ed and Fred Murrow and W. H. Emil left Thursday for Colorado Springs. Alta Dickson is staying with Mrs. Ed. Murrow."
July 1913 "Word has been received from Ed Murrow to the effect
that he and his family have settled in Colorado City.
The trip was made overland."
July 1913 West Vernon items "Ed Murrow and family visited Monday with the Ed Dickson family."
March 23, 1916 "This morning, just before noon,
the little four-year old son of Mr. and Mrs.
Ed Murrow choked to death, having swallowed something,
which they believe to have been a tack. Mr. and Mrs. Murrow reside
several miles southwest of Vernon, and have a large circle of friends
in this county who sympathize deeply with them in their sorrow."
"The saddest accident that has befallen any family in this
section of the country for many years occurred on Thursday morning
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Murrow, eight miles southwest
of Vernon. Their little two year old son Donald was playing,
about the house with his next older brother when the little
fellow, so it is thought, sucked a carpet tack down his throat,
choking to death before help could be summoned,
the mother working with the child but to no avail. Rev. White
preached the funeral, which was held at the Methodist church
at Vernon on Friday, interment being made at Glendale.
The whole community extends sympathy in this hour of their
great sorrow."

Warrn had suddenly passed away of a heart attack.
Warren formerly lived north of Wray, and carried mail
in that vicinity."

June 30, 1960 "Ed Murrow passed away Saturday evening and his funeral was Wednesday at Wray, and he was to be buried in the Eckley cemetery."

Fred proved up two quarters in 14 and 15, 2S 46W, and stock-claimed another 280 acres fo in 1922.
In February 1918, Fred Glen Murrow of Idalia was ordered to report for mobilization, along with 22 other men.
He was on the Camp Crane, Hoboken New Jersey passenger list, a private , with his reference his mother Mattie J. Oliver of Idalia, Colorado.
Fred G. Murrow, 25, married Cora L. Pevler on August 26, 1919 in Yuma County.
William Monroe Peavler born March 30, 1871 at North Salem,
Missouri, son of Lafe Peavler and Martha Roads, wife Mollie Peavler,
died in Kansas City Sept 23, 1958, a watchman, to be buried in Burlingame, Kansas.
The Burlingame cemetery has # 94564039. One possible mother of COra is Nellie Gilbert Peavler 18821911 buried in McLean County, Illinois # 37925342.
Monroe was widowed in 1920 Yuma County, 49, with Alice 13 Illinois,
Clara 9, Kansas, Fordice 5 and Cort 16 born in Illinois.
Monroe proved up two quarters in 20, 3S 45W in 1920, next to Oscar Pevler's 1923 cash claim.
They're farming in Yuma County in 1920. In 1930 Fred is married but
no spouse, 36, living with sister Ella 30 Ranseier and her husbnd Edward 34, with Waryne D. Ramseierk 8, Betty Jane 4, and Russell D. 2.
Fred registered for WWII in Modesto, California.
He was born at Stockville, Missouri Oct 16, 1893, with a reference Ella Ramseier of Idalia.
Cora L. Murrow is a waitress in 1932 Kansas City, living at 315 Charlotte.
Cora L. Murrow "Beloved aunt" is buried in Independence, Missouri 1900-1977 # 84825268.
She might be there because her brother Cort E. Peavler 1902-1978 is buried there # 84520180.
1952 Eckley "After a couple of weeks visit here, Fred Murrow left for Denver by bus, en route to the Veterans Hospital at Albuquerque for treatment."
Fred G. Murrow 1893-1965 is buried in Fort Logan # 36083556 ,
with Beulah M. Hudmon buried in Boulder 1899-1978. She had married John Hudmon then Fred Murrow.

1914 Idalia items in the Wray Rattler "Elza Murrow, who works for Howard Yount of Copper Kettle, was in town Sunday."
Robert E. Murrow married Nettie Kohlman on March 11, 1925 in Denver.
Nettie was married to Claude Kohlman in 1920 Yuma County, with Raymond M. 8, Helen M. 7, Loren E. 5, and Evert L. 2.
In 1930 Eckley, Netta is widowed, cooking in a restaurant,
36, with Jamie B. 19, Raman M. 18, Helen M. 19, Loren E. 14,
Evert L. 12, and Bobbie D. 4.
Nettie is in Arapahoe County in 1940, 45, widowed, with Bobby P. 14, Jimmie B. 12.
She's buried in Wray 1893-1985 # 74058943.
In 2004, Raymond Kohlman's obituary mentions "two half brothers,
Bob Murrow of Port Arthur, TX; Jim Murrow of Las Cruces, New Mexico"
(1625 Spruce Ave #18, Las Cruces, NM 88001, (575) 525-1448) One post says he was born Feburary 17, 1928, and died August 26, 2008.
In 2014, Dave Wofford "is also survived by his sister, Helen Murrow of Las Cruces."
"Robert Donald Murrow, 83, passed away on March 17, 2009,
in Georgetown, Texas. Born November 19, 1925 in Denver and raised
in Colorado, he had been a resident of Austin, Galveston,
Port Aransas, Port Arthur and several towns along the Gulf Coast.
Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman throughout his life and had
held leadership roles in the Boy Scouts and Optimist Club.
He is survived by his four children, Lynette Hill of Kyle,
Peggy Moore and husband Gary of Georgetown, Robert A. Murrow
of Round Rock (512)310.9145, Judy King and husband Jason of Palm Harbor, Florida; and seven grandchildren. According to Bob's wishes, the Medical Education and Research Institute Genesis program has accepted the donation of his body for the advancement of science
James B. Murrow, born Feb 17, 1928, died Aug 26, 2008, last residence Las Cruces, New Mexico,. He had married Iris Lyke, and divorced in Oregon in 19080.
1979 Eckley "Old Settlers Day guests of Mrs. Cora Rock were Bonnie and Otto Newton, Glen Kohlman and son Alva, Raymond and Madge Kohlman, Nettie Murrow, and Lutie Wakefield."
ELLA
1914 "Miss Ella Murrow, who is attending school at Vernon, visited the latter
part of last week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Oliver. She returned to Vernon
Sunday."
Ella Murrow and Edward "Ramsier" married on June 30, 1910 in Denver.
Ella P. Ramseier 1899-1968 is buried in Lucas Cemetery,
Yuma County # 52235829, with Edward 1896-1988 # 52235828.
October 28, 1968 Eckley items "The George Scrubys, Orville Rezzers, and the Arthur Dawirs attended the funeral of Mrs. Ella Ramseier at Idalia last Sunday afternoon."
