Raymond and Matilda (Stutheit) Moore, Idalia
Mathilda Marie Stutheit was born July 13, 1878 in Nemaha County, Nebraska to Julius F. Stutheit and Maria Caroline Borgmann.

Ray might be the one in 1870 McDonough County, Illinois. George Moore is farming, 40, Mary 36, William 16, Ross 14, Theodore 13, Middie 11, Alice 8, Franklin 5, Simeon 3, and Raymond 1. Colona Argo is 14, female.

Mary Jane Snowden and George "Mackneel" Moore had married in McDonough County on March 18, 1852.

In 1880 McDonough County, Mary is widowed, 46, William 26, Theodore 22, Alice 18, Franklin 15, Simeon 13, Ray 11, and Elba 6.




Mathilda married Raymond Moore August 26, 1899 in Idalia.
They're farming in Yuma County in 1900, Raymond born March 1868 in ILlinois, parents birthplaces unknown.

Ray Moore timber-claimed a quarter in 26, 3S 44W in 1903.

1904 "Martin Stutheit who has a general store near Newton, Colo., was in our city a couple of days calling on our merchants and called on his way home to visit his sister Mrs. Ray Moore near Vernon."

July 1904 Wray "Mr. and Mrs. Stutheit, of Vernon were in town the first of the week, visiting their daughter, Mrs. Ray Moore."

Ray and Matilda are farming in Yuma County in 1910. The John M. Darlymple family are living with them. Lizzie Dalrymple is 34, born in Illinois.

September 1910 " The East Wray Water Company are having a 2000 barrel reservoir dug on the hill to supply that part of town with water. Dan McGinnis and Ray Moore are doing the excavating. They already have a well of good soft water and a 14 foot windmill to pump it into the cistern."

October 9, 1913 "Mr. and Mrs. Ray Moore, of two miles northeast of town, have sold their farm and are preparing to leave Yuma county next week for Fort Scott, Kansas, where they expect to locate."

In 1920 Fort Scott, Kansas, Raymond 51 and Matilda 41 are both janitors at the high school.

August 25, 1921 ".... week, selected Ray Moore as janitor at the Senior High School building. Mr. Moore held the position of janitor there several years ago, but had to give it up on account of poor health.' His health is much improved now, however, and he will be able to attend to the work."

December 1922 Fort Scott "Raymond Moore, aged 54 years, of 1002 State street, passed away at Mercy hospital at 10:20 a. m. Christmas day. where he had been for the past 10 days. Mr. Moore had been afflicted with pernicious anaemia and for several years his health had been impaired. Many years ago Mr. Moore suffered a sunstroke, while employed taking up the old street car tracks. He was never as strong again. For five years Mr. Moore was janitor of the high school building. He was liked by all who came in contact with him in social and business life. Dr. George Owen, who has known Mr. Moore for years, both being members of the Wray, Colo., lodge of the Pacific Woodman of the World, paid a tribute to Mr. Moore today, saying he was one of the men whose staunch friendship, could be depended on. Mr. Moore was a native of McDonough county, Illinois, and was born October 21st, 1868. He is survived by his wife. A brother of Mrs. Moore, Julius Stutheit of Burlington, Colo., will arrive tomorrow afternoon. The funeral time has not been set. The burial will be made in Evergreen cemetery."

".... There were numerous floral offerings of esteem and sympathy. Dr. Miles O. Wolfe of the Baptist church spoke impressively quoting appropriate scriptures and lauding his faithful services and fine traits of character. The hymn "God Will Take Care of You" "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere"., and "Rock of Ages" were sung by Mrs. Newberry, Mrs, B. Files, Will Noske, and Mr. Foote, Miss Pearl Coyan, accompanist.
Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery. The pallbearers were Lee Vail, Mr. Krueger, Al Holiday, Frank Winsby, Will Trent and Dr. Geo. Owen. Mrs. Moore's brother, Mr. Stutheit, was here from Iowa."

Matilda is widowed in 1930 Boulder, Colorado, no occupation, boarding with Harriet M. Warrington 66 and Mina Cedarbrand 52.
In 1940 Boulder she's living alone, no occupation.

Ray's brother Simeon Moore 1866-1917 is buried in Longmont # 60874785, with Grace A. Moore 1875-1973.
Another brother Theodore "Dora" 1863-1948 is buried in Goodland, Kan sas # 90301875, with Ada 1863-1945.

"Reno Nevada Evening Gazette 2 Mar 1936 "Mrs. Clara Boden died yesterday at the home of her daughter. She came to Reno 5 months ago to visit relatives and friends. She is survived by 6 daughters, Mrs. Herbert Gibson of Reno, Mrs. George Eckley of Sparks, Mrs. J. L. Fisher, Mrs. R. H. Brown (Freda), Mrs. H. C. Delto and Miss Elsie Boden of Colorado; 6 sons, Eldor Boden of Fallon (NV), Bryan Boden, Herbert Boden, Chris Boden, Raymond Boden and Edwin Boden, all of Colorado; 2 brothers, Mrtin Stutheit of Oregon and Emil Stutheit of Colorado and one sister, Mrs. Matilda Moore of Colorado."
