September 24, 1909 "Mr. T. G. Eastwood of Girard, Kansas arrived Tuesda
y for a visit with his niece Mrs. Mary Mullison whom he had not seen for thirty-five
years."
April 22, 1910 " Mary E. Mullison and sister, Florine, called on Mrs. Goudy
one afternoon this week and report a pleasant trip.
Florine Mourning, a sister to Mary E. Mullison, who has been living near Greeley
for three years, is on her way to Illinois to spend the summer
with home folks and friends, stopped off at Wray to visit her sister and family.
She may come back to Colorado some time this fall."
JOSEPH
Joseph Mourning was in McDonough County, Illinois in 1900, a farm laborer for his mother Nancy 61, age 19. Frank M. is 35, Mart A. is 29, Minnie F. 21, and Joseph R. 19.
In 1910 Joseph is in Riverside County,
California, 29, a farm laborer, married three years to Pearl M. 21. She's a cook and has had one child, not living.
Pearl was in Cherokee County, Kansas in 1900, born October 1989 in Oklahoma Territory. She's with father George W. Bowen 45 and Cedora 38. Maud is 20, Frank 17, Harry E. 16, Pearl M. 10, Frederick A. 10, Claud A. 7, Raymond S. 5, and Gogo W. 1.
(George Washington Bowen 1854-1907 is buried in Crawford COunty, Kansas # 34868306.
Cedora Triphena (Bryan) Bowen Fowler, daughter of William Wesley Bryan and Maranda Sterrett, married 1st George Washington Bowen in Missouri, lived in Oklahoma and Kansas, moved out to California as a widow where she met Perry Dorman Fowler and married him. Her son, George Franklin Bowen is also buried here."
Cedora is buried in Tulare County, 1861-1936 # 27152483.
Joseph is in Stockton, California to register for WWI, with Pearl.
In 1920 Stockton, Pearl M. is a probation officer, 30,
born in Kansas, Joe an inspector in a factory. They're living with Pearl's sister Maude C. Wright 38 and her husband John W. Wright 46.
Pearl later married James Allen Norwood, and they're buried in Oak Hill cemetery, San Jose Pearl 1889-1970, James 1879-1951.
He's in Yuma County in 1930, divorced, 49, living with nephew Ray C. Mullison 46 and Grace M. 37.
ALICE
Alice Jane Furlong was born December 18, 1887 in Missouri, mother Perkins, father Furlong, dying in San Joaquian February 22, 1959.
She was in Nodaway County, Missouri in 1900, with parents John Furlong Nov 1846 Ireland an nancy D. May 1850 Illinois. Mary is 20, Ida 19, William 14,
Alice 12, James 10, Mamie H. 7, Edgar 4, and Edna 1, all kids born in MIssouri.
In 1910 Nodaway County, John Furlong is widowed,
Alice 22, Nannie 17, Edgar 17, and Edna 11.
CLYDE
Clyde T. Patterson is in Nodaway County in 1900, born April 1881 , with William 55 and Letitia 51. Oliver is 20, Clyde 19,
Nora 15, Irvin 15, Hattie 14, and Glen T. 12.
William C. Patterson 1845-1916 is buried in Nodaway County # 21675811,
with Latitia 1849-1904, # 21675830
Clyde T. Patterson of Maryville and Alice J. Furlong of Ravenswood married August 26, 1914 in Nodaway County.

March 29, 1917 Wray "Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Culbertson came from their home in Otis Monday and
spent a few days this week with their friends, Mr. and Mrs.
Steve Bevurlin. They came down to meet the latter's
brother, Clyde Patterson, and family who arrived that
day from Marysville, Missouri, and who are
locating in Wray."
(Harry N. Culbertson, a carpenter, is in Los Angeles in 1910, 36,
born in Nebraska, with Nora F. 28 born in Missouri. They have Okley 2
born in Missouri.
They're in Otis Colorado in 1920, where Harry is a carpenter building houses. Nora is 35, and Ivy M. 1 born in Missouri.
Still in Otis in 1930, Harry is 54, "Elmara F." 45, Inez M. 11, and Emma J. 6.
Harry N. Culbertson 1874-1932 is buried in Otis, # 50305694, with Nora F. 1882-1943 # 79138800._
Clyde's brother Oliver E. Patterson is buried in Wray 1879-195, # 6941483.
October 1917 "Lynn Epperson of Maryville, Missouri,
visited with Clyde Patterson over last Sunday.
They are old acquaintances."
Clyde T. Patterson registered for WWI with a Laird address, born April 19, 1881.
May 22, 1919 "Mr. and Mrs. Patterson, southeast,
are the proud parents of a ten-pound daughter."
In 1920 Yuma County, Clyde is 38, farming, with Alice 32 Missouri. Vivian 3 wwas born in Missouri, Nina nine months in Colorado.
Clyde T. Patterson 1881-1929 is buried in Wray, # 68941441.
1920 Skidmore, Missouri "Mr. Clyde Patterson, of near Maryville, visited with the families of J. W. and O. F. Hutchison, Saturday and Sunday"
Alice Patterson is in Yuma County in 1930. She's 42, born in Missouri, with Vivian 13 Missouri, Nina 10 and Warren B. 9 both born in Colorado.
Joseph R. Mourning, of Laird, divorced in 1929, married Mrs. Alice J. Patterson of Laird on February 14, 1931. He was 50, Alice was 43.
In 1940 Joe and Alice are in Stockton, California,
with son-in-law Raymond Mourning 26 born in Missouri, Vivian 23 Missouri, and grandchild Alice 5 born in Colorado. Brother-in-law Warren Patterson 69 born in Colorado is with them. They were in Yuma County in 1935.
Joe and Alice are listed twice in San Joaquin, again with only the two daughters Nina 20 and Warren 14.

"Joseph Richard Mourning; aged 73 years; native of Illinois. Husband of Alice J. Mourning; step-father of Vivian Rinehart of Stockton, Nina Scott of El Cerrito and Warren Patterson of Stockton. Brother of Martin Mourning of San Bernardino.
Funeral services for Joseph Richard Mourning were conducted
by Rev. John Young of the Garfield Park church this morning at 10 in the Wessendorf
chapel. Mrs. Lenora Krupp and Mrs. Garland Soria sang "Beyond the Sunset"
and "In The Garden," accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Ethel Schultz.
Pallbearers were A. H. Hutchison, Shirley I. Rowe. George Swiggart, O. H. Nelson,
R. A. Meredith and Loren Scofield. Interment followed in the IOOF cemetery."
"Warren "Pat" Patterson passed away very suddenly March 14, 2009. He was born July 12, 1920 to Alice and Clyde Patterson of Wray, Colorado, who also had two daughters. Mr. Patterson worked many years as a meat cutter for Podesto Markets. He served in the Stockton 143rd Field Artillery during World War II, and he was among the first troops to land in the Phillippines and in Japan. He was a long time member of the Elks' Lodge 218 and of the Disabled American Veterans' organization.
Mr. Patterson was the beloved husband for sixty-five years of Margaret and he was the loving father of a daughter, Gail Paswater (Pat) of Sacramento. He is also survived by a sister, Nina Scott, and by many loving nieces and nephews."
Alice died February 22, 1959 in San Joaquin County.
Vivian, per one tree, died in 2005 in Stockton.
Nina, per one tree, died January 25, 2014 in Sacramento.
