Frederick and Dorothea (Terrsy) Schloddarick
Vernon
Fred was born at Lissen, near Catthus on
July 22, 1863, immigrating from Hamburg in August 1885,
living in Brooklyn New York and Wray, Colorado from 1885
to 1920, naturalized at Wray on Sept 25, 1908.
Dorothea Terrsy, age 38,
and two children, arriving July 28, 1906, were detained
at Ellis Island, being served three meals.
One tree said her husband George, born 1848 in Jerusalem, died there in 1906.
Fred Schloddarick of Vernon, 45,
and Dorothy Terrsy of Provo, Utah, 40,
married in Wray by Judge T. C. Jennings on April 20, 1909. Witnesses were R. Lumbard and C. W. Roberts.
April 1909 "Fred Schloddarick and wife,
of the Vernon neighborhood, were in Wray
yesterday."
In 1910 Yuma County, Fred "Schlodderiset" is farming, 46, married but no spouse>
October 1910 Wray "Mrs. Tersey has purchased one of the Bullard residence properties in the southwest part of town and she and her daughter, Miss Marie, will move into it in a few days."
Fred and Dorothy divorced in Yuma County on May 9, 1911.
April 1911 "Fred Shaddick of west Vernon,
was a Wray visitor Tuesday. Mr. Shaddick was rejoicing
over the recent rain as he has some spring wheat that
was just beginning to appear above the ground before
the rain come and now bids fair to make good. "
Fred proved up 200 acres in sections 21 and 28, 2S 44W in 1911.
January 1911 "John Kibel, Fred Schloddarick
and Joe Scherrup of over by Vernon were making final
proof on their homestead entries
Wednesday of this week before County Judge
Jennings."
January 1913 Wray " Mrs. D. Tersey departed for Denver the first of week,
where she will make her future home."
In 1920 Fred was living in Brooklyn,
at 1886 Woodbine St, a knitter. He applied for a passport
in 1920.
