Hensley, sixteen miles southwest of Vernon at six o'clock Sunday morning, March 17, 1912, after less than two weeks illness. He was not thought to have been dangerously sick until just a short time before his death and then everything that medical skill and loving care could do was done for his relief but it was in vain.
He fell asleep to awake in Heaven. He was born Sept. 10, 1911 and at the time of his death was six months and seven days old. He was a sweet little baby and loved by all and will be greatly missed by his parents, grand parents and friends. He leaves a father and mother and many relatives to mourn his death but we known that, what is our loss is Heaven's gain.
After songs and prayer by N. H. Eastin, the remains were laid to rest on the homestead near Mildred.
Oh how sweet it will be in that beautiful land
so free from all sorrow and pain;
With songs on our lips and harps in our hands
To meet little Lewis again.
May God bless and comfort the sorrowing ones in their bereavement and may his guiding hand beckon them on to that promised land.
A Friend. "
