HENRY'S FAMILY
Heinrich Nicklaus Foltmer was born in Cuxhaven, Germany on January 19, 1864. In 1882, he arrived in Hoboken, New Jersey, working as a burcher. In 1885 he came to Beatrice, Nebraska, and declared his intentions to naturalize on March 27, 1888. Later that year he came to Yuma County. His neighbors were Conrad Renzelman's family.
LIZZIE'S FAMILY
In 1880 Warren County, Missouri, Conrad Renzelman is farming, 26, born in Hanover, with Catherine 31 born in Missouri. Elizabeth is 5, Garrett 3, and Willaiam J. three months.
There's an old tombstone in Wright City, Warren County for catharine Renzelman, born April 1849, # 82012591 - but this memorial says she died in October 1931.
Louisa Bergmann, 17, a resident of Hannover, arrived in Baltimore from Bremen on Bivenber 2m 1779m =,
Louisa Bergmann and Conrad Renzelman married in St. Cahrles County, Missouri on June 4, 1885.
Henry N. Foltmer and Lizzie Renzelman married at her parents' home near Robb, Yuma County,
on July 24, 1891.
Anna C. Foltmer 1897-1898 is buried in Vernon, # 69406483.
In 1900 Henry is farming, born January 1865 in Germany,
and Elizabeth January 1875 in Missouri, have Harry N. January 1892,
Adolph W. August 1893, Ferdinand W. May 1895, and Wilhelmina Dec 1893, all born in Colorado.
Henry proved up a quarter in section 3, 2S 45W in 1894.

In 1910 Yuma County, Henry is 49, Elizabeth 35, Adolph 16, Ferdinand 14, Minnie 11, Edward 10, Otto 7, and Clara 5.

In 1920 Yuma County, Henry 54 and Elizabeth 44 are farming. Henry said he immigrated in 1882, naturalized in 1896.
Edward is 19, Otto F. 17, Clara J. 15, Bertha E. 6 and Marie M. 2.
Lizzie's father, Conrad Renzelman, is buried in Wray 1852-1922 # 61452447.

Conrad Renzelman at Rest.
Conrad William Albrecht Renzelman, one of the pioneer residents of this community,
died at his home in this city Thursday, Nov. 2, and was laid to rest Monday, Nov. 5.
Funeral services at the family home and at the Presbyterian Church were under the
direction of Rev. R. H. Hoehnken of Vernon, Mr. Renzelman having been a faithful
member of the Lutheran church of Vernon for many years. He was 69 year, 10 months
and 10 days old at the time of his death. He was ill only a short time. Death was the
result of a paralytic stroke. Mr. Renzelman was born in Barrenbostol, Germany, and came
to America at the age of 17. Three years later he was married to Miss Catharine Hoolscher,
to which union were born three children, one of whom passed to the great beyond at the
age of two years. His first wife departed this life in 1882. In 1885 Mr. Renzelman was
united in marriage to Miss Louise Bergmann, to which union were born eight children.
All of the children are still alive and were at the bedside of their father when he
passed away. A host of relatives mourn his temporal loss, his beloved wife, his
sons Gerharddt, William, Conrad, Jr., Edward, Fred and Otto, all of Wray;
his daughter, Elizabeth Foltmer of Vernon, Dora Fix of Wray, Emma Downey of Pueblo,
and Anna Sievers of Twin Falls, Idaho; and two brothers, William Renzelman, Sr., of Wray,
and Henry Renzelman of Pueblo. Besides the immediate relatives there are many less near relatives and a host of friends who will mourn his departure. The deceased was an honest, upright citizen who enjoyed the good will and respect of all his fellowmen. The Rattler extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved family. "
In 1940 Louisa, wife of Conrad Renzelman,
had married Frank J. Baker in Fort Morgan on July 6, 1936, and they're in Davis County, Utah in 1940. Frank is 63, Louise 76.
Frank Jefferson Baker, born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on June 21, 1876, died in Davis County on December 11, 1940.
He was to be buried in the Farmington, Utah cemetery.
In 1930 Henry and Elizabeth are living on Franklin Street in Wray, with Bertha 17 and Marie M. 13. They have four lodgers, all teachers.

CONRAD HARRY
November 13, 1913 "Harry Foltmer and Mrs. Dosha Kelly were married last Sunday at the home
of his parents, Henry Foltmer and wife."
"The Henry Foltmer home near Vernon was the scene of the marriage of the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Foltmer, Conrad, to Mrs. Dosha Kelley of Vernon. The marriage was performed Sunday afternoon
at two thirty, Rev. Sereres, the minister of tho German Lutheran church officiating.
About forty guests were present and were entertained at the bountiful dinner the hostess had
provided for the marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Foltmer will make their home in Vernon."
January 1916 " Harry Foltmer has sold the quarter he recently bought of Harve Crouse to
Ed Murrow, the consideration being $4,350."
In 1916 C. H. Foltmer was appointed constable of Vernon precinct.

Elizabeth might be the one in 1900 Belleville, Kansas, born March 1895 in Kansas, with Robert Dixon. Robert 1858-1910
is buried in Ashland, Nebraska # 4192772, with Lorinda Johnson Dixon 1862-1904 # 41927719.
Ferdinand Wilhelm Foltmer, 18, and Elizabeth Louise Dixon, 18,
married in Yuma County on March 3, 1914.
1917 "Mrs. Frank Dixon returned to her home in McCook, Nebraska after a visit
with her sisters Mesdames Frank Brown, of seven miles south of Wray, and
Ferdinand Foltmer and Frank Dilka, of near Vernon."

Wilhelmina 1898-1965 married Fred Horstman, buried with him in Wray # 64538258.

Edward was in Denver in 1942, working for Colorado Brake Company, with Eva Grace Foltmer as his next of kin.
Edward, born October 16, 1900, died in June 1965.

Otto Foltmer and Dallis Z. Lohman married on July 2, 1924 in Yuma County.
Dallie E. Lohman was in Vernon in 1920, 14, with parents William Lohman 45 born in Illinois and Nellie A. (Dunlap) Lohman 36 born in Nebraska. Dowart Lohman is 13.
They're living with Nellie's parents John B. Dunlap 68 born in Illinois and Lizzie B. 66 in Kentucky.
John B. Dunlap had proved up a quareter in section 23, 2S 45W in 1894.
John Butler Dunlap 1851-1925 is buried in Vernon # 80179641, with
Elizabeth Bell Dunlap 1854-1945 # 80179602.

In 1940 Denver, Otto "Faltiner" is a vulcanizer for a tire company, 31 (should be 37), Dallis 34, with Virgil 14.
In August 1962 Kiowa County, Colorado, among the out-of-town
guests attending the Teal wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Foltmer of Wray, Mr and Mrs. A. H. Bruggeman and Mrsr and Mrs. Hrry Welp, Vernon, Mr and Mrs. Fred Horstman, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Renzelman, Mrs. Harley Shively and Don, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil C. Polly, and Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Bruggeman, all of Wray.
Otto Fredrich Foltmer registered for WWII in
Denver, born December 19, 1902 at Vernon, Henry N. Foltmer his next of king. Otto was working at Gates Rubber Company.
One tree said Otto 1902-1988 married on March 3, 1943.
Margaret DeLan Smith 1902-1992 who died in Glenwood Springs. Margaret's obiuary was in the Nov 18, 1992 Denver Post and the Nov 29, 1992 Rock Mountain News.

When Virgil Leroy Foltmer registered for WWII in Denver in 1943, he was a student, next of kin Wm. C. Estey.

"Margaret (Peg) Railsback was born Jan. 13, 1922, in Denver, Colorado.
She passed away at Valley View Hospital on March 2, 2006. She was 84.
She was the daughter of Lester and Margaret (Smith) Lane.
On July 3, 1940, she was married to Henry R. Railsback,
who preceded her in death. Margaret and Henry had three sons.
Prior to her retirement Margaret worked as a secretary in an insurance firm.
Margaret was a big sports fan especially the Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Rockies.
She was a fan of the Elmer Suds Softball team that her son Dean played on.
She seldom missed her granddaughter's soccer, volleyball or basketball games
while they were growing up. Margaret volunteered for many local organizations.
Margaret's brother, Lester Lane, preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons;
Dick (Nancy), John (Mary) and Dean (Judy); brother Robert Lane;
sisters Phyllis (Jim) Anderson and Elizabeth Ralph; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren."
