Susanna Mary Blank was born September 10, 1882 in Story County, Iowa to Melvin J. Blank and Emma J. Steudhen.
In 1885 Hitchcock County, Nebraska, "Marvin" and Emma Blank are farming, both 31. Fred is 10, Samuel 8, Irving 6, Reuben 4, and Susan 2.

In 1900 Washington County, Kansas, Emma J. born Nov 1855 in Illinois, is married twelve years to Jasper A. Bishop Dec 1862 Wisconsin. Orville J. is 8, Asa E. 5, and Asher R. 3. Susan M. Blank, stepdaughter of Jasper, is 17.

October 13, 1933 "Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hilyer, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tegethoff and Grandpa Hillyer, who had been visiting at the Fred Scruby home in Kirk, left Satuday moning for their homes at Washington, Kansas.

March 1915 Yuma "Mrs. J. B. Hillyer returned to her home in Eckley Wednesday, after a brief visit with her mother, Mrs. E. J. Bishop, and her brothers, Orville, Asa and Asher Bishop"

" J. B. Hillyer and wife entertained a few friends Saturday night but owing to sickness and bad weather the crowd was not very large. Those present were Mrs. Hamilton and children, Mrs. Edd Hoover, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Murphy, Misses Dertha and Grace Hess, Miss Mazie Runyon, Roy Chase, Leo Chase, Cliff McCofferty, Audley Stallings, John Chase, Myron Prohasco, and Andrew Peevler. The evening was spent in dancing and games."

February 16, 1917 "Mrs. J.B. Hillyer came up from Eckley yesterday to visit her mother, Mrs. E. J. Bishop."

August 3, 1917 "Enid and Gerald Wilson, who had been visiting with their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Hillyer, returned to their home in Denver on the noon train Saturday.

October 23, 1919 "Asher Bishop came in from Palisade, Nebraska, Sunday, at which place he and J.B. Hillyer are putting in an auto filling station."

In 1920 Yuma - Lougan Addition -Jay B. Hillyer is a drayman, 41 born in Kansas, with Susy 37 Iowa and son Samuel M. 11 Nebraska.

May 2, 1929

January 1930 "W.H. Hodge, owner of the Service Garage, is now the Yuma dealer for National tires, having acquired the stock formerly held by J.B. Hillyer & Son. The stock was moved to the garage building Friday. The Hillyes will continue as dealer for Delco Light plants."

December 1938 "A.E. Bishop and Sam Hillyer were called to Denver by the serious illness of their sister and mothe, Ms. J.B. Hillyer.

In 1940 Jay is a road laborer, with Susie M. in Morrison, Colorado

In 1942 Susie's nephew Wilbur Earl Bishop was killed, and she went to the funeral at Wauneta, Nebraska.

In 1945 and 1947 Denver, Jay B. (Susie M. ) is a janitor for the city, living at 21 W. 12th Avenue.

February 23, 1933 "Sam Hillyer has leased a shoe repairing shop at Cambridge, Nebaska, and moved with his family to the new location Satuday."

March 16, 1933 "Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Bauder and daughte and Mrs. Sam Hillyer and son motored to Scottsbluff, Nebraska Monday for a few days visit with relatives."

February 7, 1935 "Word was received in Yuma this week that a daughter had been born to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hillyer in Denver Saturday, February 2. Mr. Hilyer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Hillyer of this city."

September 1937 "Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hillyer went to Scottsbluff, Nebaska to attend funeral services for the lady's father, George Bender."
