Joseph and Fannie (Mee) Green, Richard Mee , Wray
Possibly Joe is in Schuyler County, Missouri in 1880, age 16, born in Missouri - his mother Sarah 42 is now married to Benjamin Ford, 54, a preacher.
In 1871, arriving in New York are George Mee 29, a laborer, Elia 29, George 6, Fanny 3, Thomas 2, and Caroline four months old.
Edwin Mee's obituary 1880-1956 says he was the son
of George and Eliza Caroline (Merchan) Mee. An Ancestry tree said Eliza Caroline Marcham.
One son, George, moved to Pagosa Springs, Colorado
"George Mee was born in London, England, March 12, 1864. In 1872 he moved with his parents to the United States. The family first settled in Iowa, then moved to Kansas where he married Stella Jones. With Stella’s brothers, Jim and Ike Jones, the Mees crossed the Southern San Juan Mountains in a wagon by way of Elwood Pass and then settled in Pagosa Springs in 1896. Mr. Mee purchased 160 acres of land on the West Fork of the San Juan River, but later moved to the Blanco Basin where he died in October of 1939."

In 1885 Cloud County, George is 44, with son George 20, Fannie 18, Thomas 16, Emily C. 13, Harry 11, Alfred 9, William T. 7, Edwin 5, Fred 3 and Richard 1.
George 1841-1889 is buried in Miltonvale # 94335573, E.C. dying in 1884 # 94335668.

In 1900 Cloud County, Kansas, Joseph Green is farming, born Nov 1863 in Missouri, married 18 years to Fannie Nov 1867 in England. Albert Oct 1889, Ethel Nov 1890, and Jessie Aug 1892 were born in Kansas.
They have a boarder James Shields born Aug 1856 in Scotland.
In 1905 Cloud County, Joseph is 42, Fannie 38, Albert 16, Ethel 14, and Jessie 11.
In 1910 Yuma County, Joseph is farming 47, born in Missouri, with Fannie 43 England, married 22 years. Albert is 21, Ellhis wife 21, Ethel 19, Isaac 17, and Glen 2, all kids born in Kansas.
February 17, 1911 "Joseph Green, who resides near Stratton,
Nebraska, was in Wray the early part of the week and went out
to look over the country contiguous.
He may purchase land here and later make this county his home."
June 1913 "Joseph Green of Stratton, Nebraska,
and Harry and Stella Green, son and daughter, were in Wray
last Monday to file on homesteads. They will be located just across the line in Washington County ."
January 1914 "Joseph Green,
who has been suffering for some time with a sprained ankle,
is not improving very rapidly."
Joseph proved up two quarters in 1, 2N 43W in 1916.
June 1917 "Messrs. D. C. McGinnis and Bert Green and their wives spent Sunday at
Mr. Joe Green's and attended the Children's Day program at North Laird."
In 1920 Joe and Fannie are still farming in Yuma County, with Glen R. 12 born in Kansas.
November 1922 "Mrs. Joe Green was visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Roy Werning,
on Saturday."
November 1922 "Joe Green has put up a fine chicken house on his
place the past week."
March 1923 "Mr. and Mrs. Joe Green and son Glen spent Sunday
with the Hazlett family."
Joe and Fannie are alone in 1930 Yuma County, farming. They're next to sone Glenn, who's married.
In 1940 Yuma County, Joe is widowed, 77, living with son Glen R. 32 and his wife Illa M. 28 born in Colorad. Phyllis C. is 10. - they were in Pagosa Springs Colorado in 1935.
ETHEL
Ethel Green and "Wessley" Rife married in Yuma County on January 1, 1912.
February 1912 "Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Rife, the newly married couple of Laird, were
shopping in Wray Saturday."
March 1922 "Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Rife are the proud parents of a new daughter, born
Saturday morning, March 4."
Wesley Grover Rife 1884-1949 and Ethel M. Rife 1892-1976 # 87987136 are buried in Canyon County, Idaho.
GLEN
In 1930 Yuma County, Glenn R. Green is farming, 22, born in Kansas, married to Illa M. 19 born in Colorado. They have Phyllis C. six months old.
In 1940 Yuma County, Joe Green is widowed, 77, living with son Glen R. 32 and his wife Illa M. 28 born in Colorad. Phyllis C. is 10. - they were in Pagosa Springs Colorado in 1935.
Glen, born Sept 5, 1907 in Kansas, died May 15, 1975 in Contra Costa County, California.
Illa Mae Green, born November 14, 1911 in Colorado, father McCoy, mother Wing, died in Contra Costa County January 12, 1983 (She was in Mineral County, Colorado in 1930.)
Phyllis Christine Green was born October 27, 1929 in Laird to Glen Green and Illa M. McCoy, name Gregg in 1945, Zidich in 1951, and Farlow in 1954.
January 17, 2001 Manteca, California "Phyllis C. Farlow, 68, of Manteca
died Tuesday in a hospital. Mrs. Farlow was born in Colorado and lived in Manteca
for 10 years. She retired as the owner of Vineyard Hardware of Livermore after
39 years. Mrs. Farlow was married for 40 years.
Survivor: husband, Wade Farlow of
Manteca.
Services: graveside, 11 a.m. Monday,
Memory Gardens, Odd Fellows Memorial Park, 3873 East Ave., Livermore."
JESSIE
Jessie and Roy R. Werning married in Yuma County on February 13, 1912.
In 1920 Yuma County, Roy R. Werning is farming, 30, with Jessie E. 26, both born in Kansas. Harold G. 8, Helen P. 5, Joseph G. 4, and Lela L. 1 were born in Colorado.
In 1930, still farming, Roy is 40, Jessie 36, Harold 17, Helen 16, Joseph G. 14, Lila L. 11, and Ruth V. 9.
Jessie 1893-1991 # 65312309 and Roy 1890-1983 # 65312310 are buried in Greeley, Colorado.
BERT
October 1908 Concordia, Kansas "Bert Green left for his home in Colorado,
Vern Coleman accompainying him."
July 27, 1909 Concordia, Kansas " Married at the home of the bride's parents, July 25 by Rev. Devaney, Miss Ella V. Angelo, of Miltonvale and Albert B. Green of Laird, Colo.
A bountiful supper was served and from all appearances, all did ample
justice The happy couple were the recipients of many beautiful and
useful presents. They will make their home here until October, when
they will go to Colorado to live. The bride is a daughter of
S. D. Angelo a charming and accomplished young lady,
while we all know Bert as an industrious young farmer,
a son of Joseph Green of Laird, Colo.,formerly of Miltonvale.
Best wishes of all go with the happy young couple."
July 1912 "Bert Green is getting ready to harvest his rye.
Anyone who thinks that we can't raise rye in the sandhills should see Bert's field."
March 24, 1914 "Bert Green and wife have been absent three weeks in Miltonvale, Kansas,
returning last Monday, attending the funeral, and adjusting the business of S. D. Augelo,
Mrs. Green's father, who recently died of dropsy at the age of 52 years."
May 1914 " Laird's rural route south will start next Monday with Bert Green
as the carrier, unless some other person is named before that date by the post office
department for the service. The correspondent will endeavor to gather more data for the information of Rattler readers in a later issue."
July 1914 "Mrs. Bert Green of 8 miles north of Laird met with a painful and
dangerous accident one day last week by being thrown from a horse she was riding to round up the dairy cows at night.
A splintered bone of the arm was the result, which was treated by Dr. Taylor but necessarily is exceedingly painful."

February 1915 "Two runaways at the same time livened up things in Laird Saturday morning.
The Chas. Lofthouse team and Bert Green's mules, hitched to the mail wagon, were
the participants. No damage reported."
May 1915 "Bert Green of Laird purchased a new Maxwell car last week."
December 1915 "Our genial mail carrier, Bert Green, is taking a vacation.
He and his family have gone east to visit relatives. Mr. Roy Werning
will carry the mail this month."
January 27, 1916 "Mrs. Bert Green and little Miss Thelma returned from a six week visit
with relatives in Miltonvale, Kansas, Thursday."
August 1917 "Mr. and Mrs. Bert Green expect to take an auro trip to Miltonvale, Kansas,
soon to visit Mrs. Green's parents."
November 1917 "E. J. Dowlin and family moved into the B. D. Prentice house for the
winter. In the spring he intends building on the land he recently purchased of B. E. Parkins.
M. S. Modrell is moving into the Dowlin home. Bert Green will occupy the house Mr. Modrell
vacates. Wm. Townsdin will take the Green home and Mr. and Mrs. Basque will become
domiciled in the Townsdin property which he has just purchased."
April 1918 "Bert Green has the mumps and Ross Dowlin is carrying the mail this week."
February 6, 1919
"We, the undersigned, take this means of thanking those who
were so thoughtful and kind to us through the sickness and death
of our loved one.

March 1919 "Mrs. Bert Green and daughter accompanied the former's mother, Mrs. Angelo
to her home in Eastern Kansas, Wednesday. We shall miss them from Laird. Mr. Shuel has
rented the Green residence."
In 1920 Cloud County, Kansas, Amie Angelo is widowed, 53, born in Illinois, with Lyle 27, Lawrence 21, and Velma 15, all born in Kanas. Ella Geen, 30, also widowed, and her daughter Thelma 8, born in COlorado, are with them.
June 22, 1921 Concordia "Mrs. Ella Green and Roy Revell were
married Tuesday, June 14, at the home of the bride's mother,
Mrs. S. D. Angelo. The ceremony was performed by Rev. W. H. Hold.
Only a few relatives were present. A delicious 5:00 o'clock dinner
was served to those present. They went to house keeping on
the groom's farm northeast of town. A host
of friends extend congratulations and best wishes.
That night a crowd of young folks drove out to the
Angelo home and gave them a regular serenade."
Ella Viola (Angelo) Revell 1888-1925 is buried in Concordia # 110407784.
Thelma is living in Cloud County in 1930, 18, with her grandmother Emma Angelo 64. Lyle is 39, Lawrence 32, and Velma 24.
Mr. Leroy S. Tate, 71, of McPherson, passed away at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 13th, 2012 unexpectedly at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Saline County, Kansas. Leroy was born in Miltonvale, Kansas on September 23, 1940, the son of Lewis Edward and Thelma Green) Tate.Leroy attended the Miltonvale grade schools and graduated from Miltonvale High School, Miltonvale, Kansas.Leroy was a welder and owned and operated his own Welding Shop in Casper, Wyoming, worked for several companies in Concordia and retired from Femco of McPherson, Kansas. Leroy was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2715 Men's Auxiliary and was a former member of the Son's of the American Legion Post 24 Leroy was united in marriage to Donna L. Linden on January 18, 1997 at McPherson, Kansas where they established their first home together. Surviving family members include his lovng and devoted wife of over fifteen years, Donna Tate of the home, McPherson, Kansas; his son, Larry Tate and his significant other Mary of Phoenix, Arizona; his daughters, Rhonda Smith of Des Moines, Iowa and Vicki Shaebert and her husband Chris of Redwing, Minnesota; his brother, Roy Lee Tate of Manhattan, Kansas; seven grandchildren: Shandi Dews, Ashley Weightman, Peter Kalember, Emily Dow, Valarre Berry, Heather Berry and Melissa Smith; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.Leroy was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Thelma and a brother Ray Dean Tate."
Randall Tate, a descendant, wrote "This was my grandmothers mother. Note that stone says Angelo instead of Revell. This was Ellas' 2nd husband. My grandmother did not like her step dad and refused to put Revell as her mothers name."
Roy Milton Revell 1890-1985 is buried in Concordia # 110406302.
"Roy Milton Revell, 95, Eskridge, died Saturday, March 23, at an Eskridge nursing home.
He was born June 17, 1890 at Stratton, Nebraska, the son of Alfred Bass and Mary Elizabeth Revell. He moved with his parents to Concordia in 1906. He married Beulah Grout, November 11, 1910. She died September 8, 1919. He married Helen Baker May 26, 1926 in Belleville. Mr. Revell was a real estate broker and a farmer and a stockman in southeast Kansas before he retired."
This obituary does not mention his marriage to Ella.

Richard was delinquent on taxes for improvements only in section 35, 3N 43W, in 1912.
He's farming in Pagosa Springs, Colorado when registering for WWI, born July 6, 1883,
married to Blanche.
Richard M. Mee is farming in La Plata County, Colorado in 1930, 46, with Blanche 36 born in Kentucky.
Richard is farming in 1940 Archuleta County, 56, now married to Ethel 45 born in Delaware. Both were in San Diego in 1935.
Richard Murry Mee registered for WWII in San Diego, Claifornia, working for a construction company, reference Mr. or Mrs. Sullivan of San Diego.
Ethel A. Mee, born Feb 13, 1895 in Delaware, mother Coulburn, died October 20, 1968 in San Diego.
He died in September 1971, last residence Montrose, Colorado - social security number issued in California.
