Matthias Harr was born April 5, 1862, according to the Madison St. German Presbyterian Church register, New York. His parents were Matthias Harr of Wurtemberg and Barbara Dranzier of Baden.

August 1900 "Matt Harr has moved from the Schramm farm to the Field farm."

April 1906 "Mrs. Huggins of Littleton, who has been visiting at the homes of her brother, John Gardner, and her sister, Mrs. Matt Harr, returned borne Monday ."

At the 1906 Decoration Day in Yuma "To H. C. Hoch is due the honor of making the game interesting, as he did the twirling for the married men, and the manner in which he fanned the opposition would make the famous Lajoie look like thirty cents worth of lost motion. He was ably assisted by Matt Harr behind the bat, who handled the rapid ins, outs, ups and drops like an old timer."

November 1906 "Mrs. Fannie Harr, wife of Matt Harr, was taken to Denver Monday afternoon and placed in St. Lukes hospital, where it is hoped that she may be speedily nursed baok to good health."

April 1911 Yuma "Mrs. Morris visited a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Harr. Mrs. Harr and Mrs. Morris drove over to the Benish place to visit relations Sunday."

May 1914 "Matt Harr was taken sick first of the week, the ailment proving to be appendicitis. Yesterday morning Dr. Purdue was compelled to use the knife, he being assisted by Dr. Lata, of Haxtun."

January 27, 1899 " The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Benish died last Monday at their home twelve miles north of Yuma. The little one was buried in the Yuma cemetery Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. The family has the sympathy of the entire community in its sad bereavement."

August 1900 "Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Benish, who were granted a divorce in the county court about a month ago, were married in Yuma Wednesday."
