January 1913 " Herbert Williams was in Denver with the big crowd of pleasure seekers from this place attending the Stock Show."

Mr. and Mrs. Williams were residents of this community at one time, if we mistake not, about 1886. Mrs. Williams was a niece of the late Senator Hendrie, also a pioneer resident of this community."

CLARA

November 6, 1976 "Services were held Monday in the Myers Chapel, Porterville, for Clara Williams Bunker, 82, retired Porterville teacher and mother of Bakersfleld attorney, Bruce Bunker. She died Oct. 28.
Interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Porterville.
A native of Colorado, Mrs. Bunker had lived in Porterville area since 1908. She was a graduate of Pomona College. Following her marriage to the late Beulan H. Bunker in 1924, she taught and served as principal of the Rockford and Vincent elementary schools, west of Porterville. Mr. Bunker died last August. She was a member of the Poplar United Methodist Church, Retired Teachers Association, Golden Age Club, World War I Auxiliary and Porterville branch of American Association of University Women.
Also surviving are a daughter, Marthellen Peterson of Modesto; another son, Rodney Bunker of Santa Barbara, and 7 grandchildren. "

Irene M. Williams and Walden H. Bunker married in Poplar, California on April 26, 1924. She was a teacher at Pomona College.
