Katherine (Frye) Augenstein-Salyards Obituary

Katherine Augenstein-Salyards died Friday, February 7, 2005 in Colorado Springs. She was born November 7, 1913 in Gallatin, Tennessee to Dennis and Celia (Horn) Frye.
 
 Katherine attended and graduated from Daily High School, and later married Ellis Augenstein. The couple had one son, Larry Augenstein. The family was living in the Haxtun area when Ellis passed away in 1984. Katherine later married Stanley Salyards.
 
 She was a custodian at several churches in Haxtun and also for the Haxtun Post Office. She enjoyed gardening and crafts.
 
Katherine is survived by her son and wife Jeanette, Colorado Springs, and granddaughter, Cherlyn Foster.
 
A private interment was held March 5, at the Haxtun Cemetery with memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Brethren Church with Pastor Roy Pfaltzgraff officiating.
