SHERMAN HOTALING
Holyoke Enterprise, Holyoke, Colorado,
May 21, 1964
Sherman Hotaling sustained a bump on one leg last
Thursday in a traffic mishap on North Interocean Avenue. He was examined
at the local hospital and was admitted as a patient due to illness. The
accident injury was minor. The mishap occurred at about 8:20 a.m. in the
middle of the block. It was reported that Hotaling was walking across
the street from the east, then unexpectedly reversed his direction and
began to walk back the other way. He apparently did not see the
approaching station wagon driven by Scott Sprague and stepped directly
into the path of the vehicle. Sprague, traveling north, applied the
brakes and skidded the wheels for several feet before bumping Hotaling.
