FUNERAL SERVICES FOR PAUL C. HAYNES TO BE HELD THURSDAY
 
Paul Haynes, 75, retired farmer and trucker, and a life-time resident of Phillips County, passed away Tuesday, February 3, at the local hospital where he had been a patient for some time. He had been in poor health for a number of years.
 
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 from the United Methodist church, with Rev. Thomas R. Fletcher officiating. Burial will be at the Haxtun cemetery.
 
Mr. Haynes was born May 30, 1894, to Cyrus and Bertha Utesler Haynes at the family home north of Paoli.
 
Survivors include a son, Glen Haynes of Denver; a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Delores) Hofmeister of Haxtun; two sisters, Mrs. Essie Artman of Holyoke and Mrs. Fae (Franz) Ahnstedt of Haxtun; a half-brother, Leon Ferguson of Haxtun; three grandchildren, Bradley Hofmeister of Haxtun, Mrs. David (Sharon) Flatness of La Center, Washington, and Dennis Haynes of Denver. Also three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
 
Thompson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

FINAL RITES HELD FOR PAUL HAYNES
 
Funeral services for Paul Haynes, a life-time resident of Phillips County, were held Thursday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist church with Rev. Thomas R. Fletcher officiating.
 
Mrs. Angie Bjorklun was organist and accompanied Miss Betty Sullivan, soloist, who sang “Old Rugged Cross” and “Beyond The Sunset.”
 
Bearers were nephews of the deceased, Garry Haynes, Larry Haynes, Harold Haynes, Delbert Haynes, Gerald Haynes and Wilmer Haynes.
 
Honorary bearers were Henry Orth, Ray Goddard, Irvin Riley, Tom Rogers, Glenn Grover, Clay Chamblin, Ace Goddard, Carl Crowell, Barney Buss and Porter Allen.
 
Burial was at the Haxtun cemetery.
 
Survivors of Mr. Haynes include one son, Glen Haynes of Denver; one daughter, Mrs. Delores Hofmeister of Haxtun; two sisters, Mr. Faye Ahnstedt of Haxtun and Mrs. Essie Artman of Holyoke; a half brother, Arlo Ferguson of Haxtun; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
