SERVICES HELD FOR MEN WHO LOST LIVES IN FIRE 

Services were conducted for Robert Hargreaves Monday, April 12, 1948, at 4:30 p.m. in the Baptist church in Holyoke, Colorado. Rev. Oliver W. Brock officiated the ceremony. Pallbearers were Kenneth Pope, Jerry Smith, Donald Milholland, Jack Saylor and Sam Hagemann and burial was in the Holyoke cemetery under the supervision of the Lewis Funeral Home. 

Robert Leon Hargreaves, son of George and Agnes Hargreaves, was born on the farm south of Holyoke, Colorado, July 7, 1926 and passed away at the local hospital Saturday evening, April 19, 1948, at the age of 21 years, 7 months and 3 days. 

He attended Holyoke High School one and one half years after which he was engaged in farming and stock raising with his father. After the death of his father, Robert, with the help of his brothers, carried on the duties on the farm. He was a good manager and always saw that the farm duties were cared for ahead of any pleasure. 

Robert had many friends and was well liked by all that know him. Robert was baptized when a small child. His father preceded him in death December 23, 1943. 

Surviving him are his loving mother, step father, four brothers, Wayne, Wilbur, Willis, and James, all of Holyoke, and a half brother LaVern Donnelly of Riverside, California. Other relatives and a host of friends.
