Lester
Gueck of Fort Morgan was born March 3, 1924 southwest of Sedgwick to
Glenn Gueck and Irene I. Hart. He passed away in Fort Morgan June 7,
1997 at the age of 73.
Due to an accident at an early age,
Lester was unable to master a formal education. He lived at home and
worked on the family farm until it was sold and the family moved to
Haxtun in 1956. Due to health problems, Lester lived in nursing homes in
Sterling and Fort Morgan from 1960 until his death.
Preceding
Lester in death were his parents, sister Evelyn Brown and a nephew
Harvey Brown.
Survivors include two brothers Dale and wife Doris
Gueck of Sterling and Don and wife Betty Gueck of Kimball, Nebraska,
five nieces, seven nephews, nine grand nieces, fourteen grand nephews,
two great grand nieces and three great grand nephews.
Visitation
was Monday, June 9 at Tennant-Thompson Funeral Home. Graveside services
were held June 10 at the Haxtun Cemetery.
