Funeral services were held Saturday, November 20, 1971, from the Thompson Mortuary Chapel, Haxtun, for Harry W. Grieser, 83, who passed away Wednesday, November 17, at Melissa Memorial Hospital, Holyoke. Rev. Howard Amstutz officiated at the services. Interment was in Haxtun cemetery. Thompson Mortuary, Haxtun, was in charge of arrangements.
 
Harry Walter Grieser was born at Cortland, Nebraska on November 16, 1888 the fourth son of Leonard and Kate Keer Grieser.
 
He is survived by his wife, Mabel; two brothers, Ralph Grieser, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Oscar Grieser, Tullohoma, Tennessee; a step daughter-in-law, Mrs. Betty L. Tracy, Holyoke; three step grandchildren, Ralph Lee Tracy, Portland, Oregon, Gerald W. Tracy, stationed with the Army at Spandheim, Germany, and Bruce W. Tracy, stationed with the Navy at Midway Island; a number of nieces and nephews and many friends.
