Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 30, 1976, from Zion Lutheran Church in Holyoke, for Albert D. Frerichs, 89, who passed away November 27 at Melissa Memorial Hospital.
 
Rev. Gary Rahe officiated at the services. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park. Thompson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
 
Albert D. Frerichs was born February 15, 1887, to Dietrich and Bertha Polfus Frerichs of Auburn, Nebraska.
 
He was baptized as an infant and confirmed May 31, 1901, at the Stone Church of Auburn, Nebraska, by Rev. Dirks.
 
He attended a rural school and furthered his education at a business college in Omaha, Nebraska.
 
At the age of 17, his father passed away. He continued to stay at the farm with his mother until she passed away in 1942.
 
He moved to Denver later and was married to Cecilia (Trehous) Dubbert on December 1, 1956. They continued to live in Denver until 1973 when they moved to Holyoke.
 
Albert helped Martinus Olson build his farm home in late 1948 and 1949.
 
He is survived by his wife, Cecilia; a sister, Mathilda Radamaker, Auburn, Nebraska, two brothers, Henry, Johnson, Nebraska; and Walter, Phoenix, Arizona; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 
His parents, one sister, Anna Rimmers, and one brother, John, preceded him in death.
