Funeral services were held Friday, April 21, 1972 from the Zion Lutheran Church, Holyoke, for Raymond A. Folker, 66, who passed away April 19, 1972, at his home.
 
Pastor James Pomeroy officiated at the services. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park. Thompson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
 
Raymond A. Folker, son of Frederich and Anna Nutzmann Folker, was born September 24, 1905 at Bertrand, Nebraska. He was baptized on November 5, 1905, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bertrand, and confirmed in the faith November 22, 1927 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Amherst.
 
He was united in marriage to Evelyn E. Krueger on June 28, 1931, at Amherst, and to this union two sons were born.
 
They lived most of their married years in this area except for eight years during the time he was employed by the Intermountain Elevator Co. at Adams City.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; Delmas, his older son; Vicki, an infant granddaughter; Lenora Rodeman, a sister, and Wayne Folker, a brother.
 
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; a son, Ardean, Longmont; a former daughter-in-law, Mrs. Shirley Hayes, Littleton; four sisters, Mrs. Carl Krueger, Mrs. Eunice Bishop, Mrs. Myrna Weyerts and Mrs. Elva Wiggins; one brother, Rex, Los Angeles, California; four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Evelyn Eloise (Krueger) Folker of Holyoke was born December 29, 1909 to Charlie Fredrick and Hattie Margarete Post Krueger in Ayr, Nebraska. She was one of seven children. She died September 14, 1996 in Sterling.
 
Evelyn lived in Amherst when she married Raymond Folker there on June 28, 1931. To this union were born two children, Delmas Paige and ArDean Ray. She was a devoted wife and mother whose primary interest was caring for her family. Her hobbies included needlepoint and crochet. During her life, Evelyn also resided in Commerce City and Holyoke.
 
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband in 1972, son Delmas in 1960, son ArDean, daughter-in-law Jima Lea and a grandchild in 1979, one sister and four brothers.
 
Survivors include sister Margaret Brinkema of Holyoke; grandchildren Rocky Dean and wife Terri Folker of Johnstown, Ava Jo and husband Russell Parker of Berthoud, Rick and wife Julie Folker of Denver and Brad and wife Christie Folker of Keithsville, Louisiana; 10 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Lorraine S. Haynes; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
 
Services were held Tuesday, September 17, 1996 at Zion Lutheran Church in Holyoke with Pastor Gary Rahe officiating. Interment followed in Holyoke Memorial Park.
