Mrs. Pamela Burris was born at West Shefford, Canada on November 1, 1836 and died at the home of her son in Holyoke, Colorado, on Sunday January 19, 1902. At Rockford, Illinois, in the year 1866 she was united in marriage with E.N. Correll. To them was born one child W.E. Correll who survives his mother.
On December 23, 1880 at Grand Island, Nebraska, she was married to D.H. Burris who survives her. In early life she became a member of the Episcopalian Church and was still a member at the time of her death. She had for some time made her home with her son, W.E. Correll, but at the time he moved to Holyoke was visiting a sister in Omaha, Nebraska, and came to Holyoke about four months ago.
She had always enjoyed good health till a few months before death when she was attacked with dropsy. Her death was quite unexpected and was a great shock to the family. The funeral services were conducted from the home on Tuesday, January 21, Rev. R.N. Smith preaching the sermon and the remains laid to rest in the Holyoke cemetery. The family have the sympathy of all in their sorrow. The burial services were conducted by the Royal Neighbors Lodge of which the deceased was a member.
