In 1885, still in Clay County, they've added a son Nilla, 3.
In 1900 Clay County, Hadley, February 1845, and Marey Jan 1850, have Wheeler Mar 1878, Albert May 1890, William Sept 1883, Clarisa Feb 1886, Lewellen March 1890, and Elsworth Dec 1892.
In 1910 Clay County, Wheeler is farming, married eight years to Lula, 36 born in Wisconsin. Nora E. 7, Jesse L. 6 Daisy M. 4, Freeman L. 3, and Lesley 1 were born in Nebraska.

Wheeler proved up two quarters in 20, 9N 48W in 1918.


In 1920 Logan County, Wheeler 41, Lula 41, have Nora 17, Jesse 15, Daisy 14, Freeman 13, Leslie M. 10, with Josephine A. 7, and Harold O. 3 born in Colorado.

Wheeler and "Loula" are in Platteville, Colorado in 1930, farming, with Jesse, Daisy, Freeman, Leslie Josephine and Harold.
Next household is Arthur 28 and Nora C. 27 (has to be their daughter), with Ardyce J. nine months.
Wheeler H. Talbert married Flora May Morris Dec 7, 1937, recorded in El Paso County.
In 1940 Fort Lupton, Colorado, Wheeler is farming, widowed, with son Leslie 31 and his wife Agatha 21. Josephine 28, has no occupation.

Wheeler 1878-1964 # 55398200 and Lula L. Talbert 1878-1935 are buried in Fort Lupton, Colorado. December 7, 1964 "Wheeler Talbert of La Salle, Colorado. Father of Nora Korgan of LaSalle, Daisy Glover of Fort Lupton, Freeman Talbert of Milliken, Harold Talbert of Derby and Josephine Talbert of Edgewater. Brother of Willinm Talbert and Mrs. Julie Winter, both of Hastings, Nebraska, and Elsworth Talbert of Arvada. Twenty-eight grandchildren, and twenty-nine great grandchildren. "
Josephine Adeline Talbert 1912-1997 is buried in Fort Lupton # 55398271.

" Larry L. Talbert, 70, of Fort Lupton, died Feb. 12, 2011, in Lafayette. Larry was born Jan. 16, 1941, to Jesse and Pauline Talbert, in Platteville
Survivors include his mother, of Fort Lupton; sisters, Helen Swarts, of Hudson, Janice Norfleet, of Lamar, and Bonnie Talbert, of Fort Lupton; brothers, LeRoy Talbert, of Loveland, and Eugene Phillips, of Fort Lupton; daughters, Margaret Talbert, of Loveland, Betty Fahrenbruch, of Dacono, and Kathy Bell, of Summerville, South Carolina; and son, James Talbert, of Fort Lupton; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Charles Talbert. "



June 30, 1973 Greeley "Freeman Talbert of rural Eaton, and Freida Talbert, 135 Oak, Eaton, announce the engagement of their daughter, lu Linda Marlene, to Wallace H. A. Ronne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Ronne, also of Eaton. Miss Talbert, a 1973 graduate of Eaton High School, is employed at Decor Ltd., in Greeley. Ronne graduated from EHS in 1970. He is employed at Bausch and Lomb. The wedding is being planned for Aug. ll, at the Eaton Methodist Church."
Freeman Laverne Talbert 1906-1995 is buried in Greeley # 149727856. So is his first wife Frieda Louise (Hines) Talbert 1927-2000.


Verna Lee Greene, 62, of Lakewood, formerly of Greeley, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Allison Care Center in Lakewood.
She was born Aug. 21, 1943, in rural Platteville to Freeman Laverne Talbert and Frieda Louise (Heinz) Talbert.
She attended school in Eaton. She enjoyed church services when she was able and treasured her relationship with her savior, Jesus. Because of health issues, she lived most of her life in health care facilities.
Survivors include three sisters, Mary Webster of Evans, Linda Ronne and husband Wallace of Greeley and Connie Hollenbaugh and husband Tadd of Flagler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a daughter Susan, who has been in contact with the family in recent years, and her children, Johnathan and Kaitlyn of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland; her parents; and a sister, Karen Epps.
A private family memorial will be at a later date. Cremation.

Lillian is married to Charles Beerbower, and they're farming with Hadley.

Ellsworth Talbert married Leslie B. Failing June 21, 1916, recorded in Denver.

Ellsworth registered for WWI in Logan County, with a Fleming address, born Dec 26, 1892 at Trumbull, Nebraska, married.

Ellsworth proved up 280 acres in sections 13 and 24, 9N 49W in 1919.
In 1919, Mrs. E. Talbert of Fleming was teaching at the Concord school in Logan County.

In 1920 Logan County, Ellsworth is 27, with wife Leslie V. 28 born in Colorado.
In 1930 Jefferson County, Colorado, Ellsworth and Leslie are farming, no kids, but have a laborer.
Leslie is divorced in 1940 Jefferson County, a seamstress, living alone. She was teaching in Jefferson County in September 1944.
Ellsworth is in Weld County in 1940, now married to Mary (67 on the index, but likely age 47), who was in Lafayette Colorado in 1935. Her daughter Melba K. Hensley 13 born in Nebraska is with them.
(Kaye Melba Hensley was born at Benkelman, Nebraska May 4, 1926 to William Hensley and Mary Cliff, died as MelRobbins November 1991.)

Ellsworth 1892-1974 is buried in Lafayette, Colorado # 88864194. So is Mary 1892-1972 # 88864325.

SARAH
Sarah married Xavier Lambert in 1893, moved to Colorado, and is buried in Haxtun 1876-1927.
Sarah's first cousins Myrtle Talbert Smith and Cora Talbert Beal 1876-1942 are buried in Haxtun. (Cora Talbert married Andrew Beal March 2, 1938, recorded in Phillips County, Colorado.)

Another brother, William Talber, is mentioned in one Lambert diary as visiting in Fleming, but not as living there.

Harrison B. Talbert had a record of an inheritance tax in Logan County County June 22, 1923.
