Thursday, January 18, 1916 Sterling "Death claimed one of Logan county's pioneers Monday night in S. B Roebuck, who died in a Denver hospital. Deceased came to Logan county in 1877 and had lived here ever since until about three years ago, when he went to Denver to live with a son. The remains were brought to Ster ling Tuesday and funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p. m. a: the First Presbyterian church. He i> survived by five sons and two daugh ters, Mrs. W’illiam Sanders and Mrs Claude Sherwin. One of the boys lives in Proctor and another in Iliff Another lives in Chicago."

Wednesday, January 8, 1908 "Mrs. Martha Roebuck Sanders was born in La Fayette county, Mississippi, October 31, 1867, and was the oldest child of Samuel B. and Amorilla Roebuck. There were nine children in the family of her parents, and her place as the eldest soon distinguished her as a trustworthy girl. In the spring of 1877 she came with her parents to what was then Weld county, Colorado and thus became one of the pioneers of this section. On Dec. 16, 1888, she was married to Robert D. Sanders, and to this union was born eight children, two of whom died in infancy. The other six, three boys and three girls, are alive today.
In early life she professed religion and joined the old M. E. church South which was a pioneer institution of this section. After its dissolution Mrs. Sanders did not take membership in any other church until last year, when she joined the Presbyterian church. Her ambition was that her children might grow hp to be noble and useful, and to this end she spent her very life. Her illness was short and severe, and Death came last Thursday at 5:20 P. M. as the evening shadows were closing in and took her at the age of 40 years, 2 months and 2 days.
Besides a husband and six children, she leaves a father, Samuel Benton Robuck, three sisters, Mrs. Will Sanders of Sterling, Mrs. Jerome D. Landrum of Merino, and Mrs. Claude Sherwin of Sterling, and five brothers, Chas. of California, Deloach of Sterling, Jesse of Oklahoma, Shirley of New York, and Verner of Denver. "

Carrying a bouquet of white roses and wearing a reception gown of gray ottoman silk with garnisbings of white silk and lace, Miss Edna B. Middlemast was united in marriage to Charles B. Robuck by Rev. Addison Blanchard on Wednesday evening., The bride was formerly a student of the East Denver High school and the groom is a popular young theological student. Mr. and Mrs. Robuck leave for Marshall, Mo., in January, where Mr. Robuck will study at the Marshall Valley university."

March 1900 Denver "The first attempt of Charles Robuck to win from his mother-in-law the wedding dress and presents given his deceased wife failed before Judge Steele yesterday. Three months before the death of Mrs. Edna M. Robuck, she gave to her mother, Mrs. J. J. Moore, her wedding presents, dress, etc. When Robuck, as administrator of the estate, endeavored to secure possession of the goods, his mother-in-law objected and he appealed to the county court. Mrs. Moore claims a donation causa mortis, which means, a gift in expectation of death. The court held yesterday that Mrs. Robuck had a right to give away the goods if she so desired, and that Mrs. Moore could retain them. An appeal will be taken on this point."

November 1984 Ventura, California " Mass for John Hawkins Kelly, 74, Gulfport, Miss., will be at 10 am Friday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Simi Valley, with the Rev. Sylvester officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Reardon Simi Valley Mortuary.
Mr. Kelly died Monday after a short illness. He had been visiting his home in Simi Valley.
He was born March 28, 1910, in Outlook, Canada. He was retired from the Navy, having been a lieutenant commander. He was a member of the USS Augusta Retirement Organization.
He is survived by son Fred of Simi Valley, daughters Rena Cotton and Joanne Ricker, both of Seattle, Wash., sisters June Hamdly of Los Angeles and Rena Lambert of Detroit, Mich., eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 am to 8 pm Thursday at the mortuary."

That date might be incorrect, because the 1912 Kirksville Daily News said " Mrs. Lola Carter Robuck entertained the second division of her music class at her home on North Main street yesterday aftrenoon. Mrs. Robuck is to be giving a aeries of these entertainments this winter in honor of her pupils, the one of yesterday being the second. A delightful musical program was given, after which light refreshments were served. The guests were presentd with dainty little favors suggestive of Christmas."
