" Hugh Clark started the first grocery store in a frame building on the lot now occupied by the First National Bank building."

March 1885 "Quite a pleasant little party met at the residence of Mr. Hugh Clark last Tuesday evening. The party was given by Miss Rosa to her schoolmates and friends previous to her removal from town to the ranch below Iliff, where Mr. Clark intends spending the summer."

Her death certificate says her parents were Hugh Clark of Ireland and Eliza of Philadelphia.

"Mrs. Rosa Judd 86, of Hagerman, died Saturday in a Gooding hospital following a short illness. Mrs. Judd was born April 10, 1870, in Philadelphia. She was married to E.S. Judd in Cheyenne in 1890. They resided there for a year and then moved to Saratoga, Wyo., where they lived for 22 years. They came here in 1918. Mr. Judd died in 1940.
Survivors include a son, Earl Judd. of Molalla, Ore., one stepson, Eddie Judd, Bliss, five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 in the Reorganized LDS church here, with Lyle Gilmore officiating. Interment at Hagerman will be directed by the Thompson chapel."

February 1905 Telluride " The 5th of February, Mrs. Mowatt, of this place, was married in Denver to Mr. Ed Judd. Mr. Judd will be remembered here as the son of Mrs. I. L. Glenn. Last week Willie Mowatt went to join his mother in Denver and it is understood to marry Mrs. Abby Funk, a daughter of Mrs. Glenn. A happy family union."

November 1905 Telluride "Mr, and Mrs. Judd came over from Ouray last Sunday evening to visit their son William Mowat. They are the guests of Mrs. I. L. Glenn."

Ocotber 1915 Silverton "William Mowat and Miss Sarah Byers were qüiëtly married in Durango last Tuesday. They returned to Silverton Tuesday night and are now located at their home. Mr. Mowat is one of the proprietore of the Vienna Cafe. They have been busy receiving congratulations from their many friends since their return."

Twin Falls, Idaho, August 24, 1961 "Edward Seymour Judd, 82, longtime Bliss resident, died at Gooding Memorial hospital Wednesday afternoon. He was born in Windsor, N.Y., Nov. 23, 1879, and attended schools there, moving to Ouray, when he was 14. He became an apprentice barber there and operated his first barber shop at Tellurlde, Colo.
In 1908 he moved to Walla Walla, where he was a barber. On Aug. 28, 1922, he married Mary Krogh at Pomeroy, Wash. They came to Hagerman in 1926, moving to Bliss in 1927. He owned his own barber shop in both towns. Mr. Judd had a general store here also, until retiring several years ago. He was a member of the Moose lodge and the Knights of Pythias.
Survivors include his widow and one son, Elmer E. Judd, both Bliss; three daughters, Mrs. Ivan Hobdey, Halfway, Mrs. LeRoy Hess and Mrs. Glenn Shaeffer, both Bliss; one brother, Earl R. Judd, Walla Walla, and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday at the Thompson chapel, Gooding, with the Rev. Jack Foreman officiating. Last rites will be held at Elmwood cemetery. Friends may call at the Thompson chapel Friday and until time of services Saturday..

"- Earl R. Judd, 76, Molalla, died Wednesday in Molalla. He was born in Saratoga, WA.
He lived in Idaho, Estacada, and Newberg before coming here in 1937. He was a former restaurant and tavern owner, and in more recent years had been in the real estate business. He was a member of VFW, Champoeg Barracks 205, Veterans of World War I, and the Elks Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Emily, Molalla; two daughters, Mrs. George Ruhl, Estacada, and Mrs. Ernest E. Daniels, Milwaukie; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 pm Saturday in Molalla Chapel of Everhart & Kent. Interment will be in Adams Cemetery.
