GOLDIE
February 1917 Denver "Four youths with a penchant for exploring unocccupied houses,
and incidentally picking up small articles found therein, were arrested yesterday by
Policeman White and placed in the Detention home. They gave their names as
Therean Ernest, 12; William Huff, 11; Kermit Angell, 11, and Frank Lindhorn, 10.
White said he had warned the boys to stay out of houses they found vacant,
but they had persisted, taking away a number of small articles of little value.
In order to give the youthful explorers another chance, and at the same time teach
them that they must respect the law, White took the boys to the Detention home,
where they will be held a few days. It was stated at the Detention home that the
boys' parents would be seen and an effort made to dispose of the case without
prosecution in the Juvenile court. The boys have never been before the police,
it is said, except for the charge on which they were arrested."

this morning in Judge Beattie’s court over a feather bed.
The feather bed was originally the property of Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Monague who own the premises into which the defendants,
Mr. and Mrs. William Wedig, moved last year.
Evidence introduced tended to show that the bed had been left on
the proprty when the Monagues moved out and that the Wedigs used it
although the Wedig's never denied that it was in their possession,
and offered to retnrn it to the Monagues if the latter would come
after it. The court found against the defendants and assessed a
