"Robert Branson, 77, of Sun City, Arizona, passed away on April 15, 2022, doing what he loved.
Robert was born on July 29, 1944 to Evelyn and Earnest Branson in Fort Collins, Colorado. After Robert graduated from Jefferson High School in 1962, he enlisted in the United States Army. He served in Germany, in the 2nd Calvary Regiment Unit.
On March 19, 1973 Bob married Louise in Phoenix, Arizona. Bob and Louise went on to have two daughters, Christina and Diana - which were the joy of his life.
After years of working as a skilled metal fabricator, he retired to spend more time enjoying the great outdoors as well as creating useful gadgets.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister Evelyn. He is survived by his wife, daughters, sister Helen, brother Dave, numerous nieces and nephews, and a grandson."

February 1971 "The Denver Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, has announced the appointment of Raymond E. Branson, 800 Macon St., as District Executive of the Centennial District. The district includes Aurora and several smaller communities to the east.
Branson was welcomed to the district by Centennial Chairman Harold Davidson, who noted he led the area previously in the period from May, 1968 to May, 1969 - a period during which the district led the Council in attainment of membership and training goals.
'We are extremely happy with Ray's appointment,' said Davidson, 'and we look forward to working with him in achieving a Scouting program second to none.'
Branson has also led the Arapahoe District, another of the nine in the Denver Area Council, and has worked with leaders at the council level in training adults and organizing Scout activities.
His professional Scouting career dates to October, 1964 but was interrupted by a tour of military duty, including service in Vietnam.
The new Centennial executive is married; his wife is the former Cheryl Leslie Hill. A Unitairan Church member, Branson is a 3rd Degree Mason affiliated with the Blue Lodge in Littleton. Among hiscivic connections, Branson has served as president of Trout Unlimited, a conservation club devoted to betterment of fishing in the U.S."
