Possibly this is David S. Boyd....

Mary A., widow of David M. Boyd, proved up a quarter in sections 22 and 27, 10N 51W in 1893.

October 1898 Sterling "The movement of Logan county people to the Festival of Mountain and Plain at Denver commenced this morning. Only one or two went up on the early train, but more than twenty tickets were sold before the arrival of the Colorado Special.
Among the crowd were: Mrs. Sam Ard, Mrs. Geo. E. McConley, Mrs. D. S. Boyd, Mrs. W. L. Henderson, the Bartholomew boys, J. N. Noblaugh, Chas. Swick, Will Becker, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Brown, Mrs. G. T. Ruggles, S. B. Robuck, Mrs. John Loos, Mrs. Julia Ross and Thos. Whiteley."

August 1900 Snyder, Colorado "Mrs. D. M. Boyd left for Sterling on Monday, after several days visit with her son, D. S. Boyd. Myron McConley of Sterling was in Snyder a day or so last week enroute to the mountains. "

February 1901 Fort Morgan "Geo. McConley, of Sterling, went to Akron via Brush Tuesday. He visited his brother-in-law, D. S. Boyd, enroute."

August 1907 Denver "Mrs. J. S. Mason and Mrs. D. M. Boyd, of 2242 Clarkson street, received Saturday evening from 8 to 10, in honor of Mrs. Calvin Boyd and Mrs Henry Bennett of Topeka, Kansas. The house was tastily decorated in white and green. About seventy-five guests called. Mr. Bennett arrived Monday and accompanied the ladies home."

August 1918 " Mrs. Mary A. Boyd returned Thursday night from an extended visit with her children, Mrs. Samuel Service and James Boyd at Estes Park. She was accompanied by her daughter, Mrs. F M. Weinheimer of Hermiston, Oregon, who will visit for several days here with her sister, Mrs. George K. McConley. During her visit at Estes Park, Mrs. Boyd had the pleasure of having all her children together, the family reunion being held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Samuel Service. Her seven children were all present at this family gathering. They are David Boyd of Ouray, William Boyd of Placerville, James Boyd of Estes Park, Mrs. Jennie Magarrell of Omaha, Nebraska, Mrs. George E. McConley of Sterling, Mrs. Samuel Service of Estes Park, and Mrs. F. M. Weinheimer of Hermiston, Oregon."

July 1908 Sterling " Mrs. T. Z. Maggarell and daughter, of Omaha, are visiting Mrs. Maggarell's sister, Mrs. G. E. McConley, at present. They arrived on Monday and will go on to the mountains in a few days. Two of her daughters, Anna and Zella, formerly attended school in Sterling."

August 1909 Sterling " Mrs. Jennie Magarrell and her daughter Jessie, of Omaha, Neb., arrived in Sterling Sunday morning and will visit for a week with Geo. E. McConley and family. From this place they will go to the mountains for a month's outing. Mrs. McConley and Mrs. Magarrell are sisters."

July 1920 Sterling " Mrs. Jennie Maggarrell of Omaha, who, with her granddaughter, Arline Koontz. have been visiting at the home of Mrs. Maggarell's sister, Mrs. George McConley, received a telegram Friday informing her that her son-in-law, Thomas McCain, a structural iron worker in Omaha, had fallen from a high building on which he was working Thursday and was instantly killed. Mr. McCain's wife, a niece of Mrs. McConley, was a guest of her aunt about a week ago; Mrs. Magarrell and granddaughter left Friday for Omaha."
The Omaha newspaper said he had four children.

"In the death of John A. Boyd, Morgan county loses another most valuable citizen.
The deceased was born in Kincarden, Canada, April 1856, the oldest of a family of 10 children, four sisters and five brothers still living. His father died in 1893 and his mother is still living at the age of 76. December 1881 he was married to Miss Leona Hudson to which union one girl and five boys were born. He came to Colorado in 1885, locating near Snyder, where he became a very prosperous farmer.
His death came as a sudden shock to his family and friends. He took to his bed a week ago Sunday and last Monday morning passed away from the effects of uric poisoning.
The funeral services were held at Snyder school house at 10 a.m. yesterday. Rev Albert Shepard of Hillrose, delivering the sermon and interment was in Brush cemetery.
The deceased was a Christian man, a true husband, an indulgent father and a kind neighbor. Besides a devoted wife, he leaves a daughter and four sons, to whom is extended the sympathy of the family's many friends in their hour of sorrow."

DAVID

David S. Boyd claimed a quarter in section 32, 9N 52W in 1893.

July 16, 1948 "David S. Boyd, 86, of Denver, died last week in Denver. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan, August 1, 1863. Mr. Boyd moved to Denver five years ago, after retiring from the banking business in Ouray, Colorado.
Survivors are his wife, two adopted children; Ralph Boyd of Ouray and Maguerite Basso of San Diego, a sister, Mary A. McConley of Denver; a brother, Janies H. Boyd of Estes Park and several nieces and nephews, including Mary Stith, Rhoda Tallant, Wilma Scott, and James K. Boyd of Estes Park. Interment was held in Ouray, July 11."

WILLIAM

William E. Boyd claimed a quarter in section 27, 10N 51W in 1890, nother in section 21 in 1894, and another in section 22 in 1897.

1898 Sterling

August 1900 Sterling "W. E. Boyd bought the A. H. Pettit & Co. stock of goods at Iliff last week and will commence invoicing tomorrow morning."

January 1908 "W. E. Boyd, formerly of Iliff but now a real estate dealer of Longmont, in company with Mrs. Boyd and the children, spent Christmas visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Holden, and other relatives in the Bravo country and their many friends in Sterling and elsewhere."

June 1908 Sterling " Mr. E. N. Holden went to Loveland last Thursday to accompany his wife home. Mrs. Holden has spent a month there visiting her daughters, Mrs. Will Boyd and Mrs. Dr. Clouse. While there Mrs. Holden was treated by Dr. Clouse and returned much benefi tted."

May 1909 "W. E. Boyd, well known in Sterling, writes to have the Republican Advocate sent henceforth to Windsor instead of Wellington, Colo. He has sold his clothing and furnishing business at the latter place and gone into the real estate and Insurance business at Windsor. Success to him. "

December 1910 Sterling " In a letter addressed to the publisher, W. E. Boyd, of Dolores, says, "We are always glad to get the news from our old stamping ground from the columns of your valuable paper." He states that his family are in the beat of health, and wishes all his friends a prosperous new year."

February 27, 1925 "Monday night Mrs. Frank Weinbeimer died very suddenly at her home in Long Beach, Calif. She was a sister of Mrs. Samuel Service and James H. Boyd of Estes Park, and was known to many people of the Park, havirg visited here several times. Years ago Mrs. Weinheimer lived in Lyons, Colo. They moved to Idaho and later to Oregon until about six years ago, when they moved to Long Beach, Calif.
Mrs. Weinheimer is survived by her husband and five children, Mrs. Winifred Milner, who had just moved to Gecrgia; Russell, Boyd, James and Ruth. She is also survived by several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Samuel Service, and James H. Boyd of Estes Park: Will Boyd of Placerville, Colo.; Dave Boyd, Ouray, Colo.; Mrs. George McConley, Sterling, Colo.; and Mrs. Jennie McGrell, of Cmaha, Neb. Mrs. Samuel Service, Wilma and Bryon, and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. M. Tallin, who are spending the winter in California, attended the funeral services."

JAMES

In 1900 Sterling, Louis Benge is 38, Mae G. Benge 28 Wife, Fred L. Benge 11 Son, and James Boyd 23 Boarder, a blacksmith born in Iowa.

James claimed a quarter in section 5, 7N 54W in 1902.


April 1905 Estes Park "Mrs. Mary Boyd returned from Lyons last week and will keep house for her son the rest of the spring.
Mrs. Wineheimer and children are visiting their aunt and sister, Mrs. Samuel Service."

December 1907 "Mr. and Mrs. James Boyd and Mr. Samuel Service arrived from Estes Park last Saturday in Mr. Boyd's automobile, a fine Stanley steam machine.
Mrs. David Boyd accompanied them from Hillrose. They are here visiting relatives and friends, and Mr. Boyd and Mr. Service are also looking after their real estate."



September 1911 "James H. Boyd left this morning for his home at Murtaugh, Idaho, after a several days visit with his sister, Mrs. G. E. McConley and family."

July 1913 Estes Park " James H. Boyd, brother of Mrs. Samuel Service, who has turned to Estes Park. He is accompanied by Mrs. Boyd, and will remain for at least the balance of the summer."


September 1918 "James Boyd and Samuel Service, who had spent several days here the past week looking after their land interests in Logan county, returned Sunday to their home at Estes Park. While here Mr. Service disposed of his land near Iliff. W. R. Koenig was the purchaser."
