"Isaac T. Owens passed away at the west hospital at
the Soldier's Home, Grand Island, Nebraska, Friday afternoon, May 5, 1911, at the age of seventy-three years. He had been ill some time from stomach trouble. He was a member of the First Regiment of United States infantry and was in the service eight months. He was a member of A. W. Whipple Post, Burkett, and was admitted to the Home May 30, 1909. The funeral took place this afternoon at 2:30 from the chapel with burial in the Home cemetery."
