Died Mar 13,1930 Perry Amel BANDT born Mar 08,1866 in Dixon County Ne; Married Agnes Annastatia McDONALD Nov 03,1892. Died June 21,1929 in Phillips County,Ks. The BANDT Bros. were early settlers in Phillipsburg ,coming there in the 1880`s. They were pioneers in the grain and elevator business. The oldest two came to the USA with their parents in 1862,and first settled near Ponca,Dixon County, Ne. |
Obituary Gustavus William Bandt from Phillipsburg, Kansas, provided by Donald Cox "Gustavus William Bandt, son of William Fredriek and Caroline Bandt was born at Ponca, Dixon county, Nebraska January 28, 1860; died in Phillipsburg, Kansas October 19, 1919, age 59 years, 8 months and 21 days. Mr. Bandt grew to manhood in the community of his birth then moved to Osborne, Kansas. Here on October 1, 1889 he was united in marriage with Maggie Eston. To this union two children were born, who with his wife survive him. Almost all his life he has been engaged in the grain elevator business and in this occupation has lived in many places in western Kansas and eastern Colorado, being located in Phillipsburg about two years. The past two years he was engaged in the garage and automobile business at Limon, Colorado. Disposing of his business there he purchased a home in Phillipsburg and moved here to spend his remaining days. About two weeks ago was stiken with his fatal illness and passed away from us. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, two children, Rexford Synda Bandt and Mrs. Farzia Maud Reynolds, both of Phillipsburg, and one grandson William Bandt Reynolds .........(unable to read)..and A.P. of Kimball, Nebraska. Two sisters, Mrs. Etta Oakley and Mrs. Cassie Edwards of Wolbach, Nebraska with many friends who have known and appreciated him during his life. He is gone from us but we treasure the memory of a loving husband, a kind father a trustworthy friend and upright citizen. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. L. A. Kerr officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in Fairview cemetery. Notes for Margaret E.
