"Harriett Laura LaCroix of Boulder, a former resident of Grand Junction, Colorado, died Saturday in Boulder. She was 87. A graveside service was Wednesday at Greenhill Cemetery. She was born Jan. 6, 1909, to Alford and Grace Hodgkins Lamberton in Arriba. She graduated from high school in Kasota, Minn. She attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., and received a masters degree in English from the University of Minnesota in St. Paul. She married Russel Jacob LaCroix on June 6, 1938, in St. Peter. He died Feb. 21, 1963. Mrs. LaCroix taught school in the Albany County School District in Laramie, Wyo., and was the librarian at Laramie Junior High School, retiring in 1974. She moved to Grand Junction in 1978 and to Boulder two years ago. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, Laramie Animal Shelter and various teaching organizations. Mrs. LaCroix enjoyed knitting, ceramics and crafts.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law. Bill and Stephanie of Houston, and Tom and Linda of Grand Junction; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lee and Ed Withers of Boulder; four grandchildren, Katie, Betsy, John and Alex LaCroix; two sisters, Bernice Hepp of Riverton, Wyo., and Martha Wilson of Minneapolis; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Lamberton of Minneapolis."

"Bernice Grace Lamberton was born in Mankato, Minn., on Jan. 15, 1914, the daughter of Alfred and Grace (Hodgkins) Lamberton. She grew up in St. Peter, Minn., where she was graduated from high school and then went on to attend Mankota (Minn.) State Teachers College, receiving her degree in education. She moved to Riverton in 1945.
On Nov. 22, 1945, she married Carl Hugo Hepp in St. Peter, MN. He preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1993.
Mrs. Hepp taught elementary school at Jackson and Ashgrove from 1960, retiring at the age of 65 and then worked at the Riverton Library. With her husband, she managed the American Legion Club when it was located at Third and Washington in Riverton.
Mrs. Hepp was a member of the United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the United Methodist Women, and annually made candy for, and helped at the annual bazaar.
She was a member of the Ponderosa Club service organization, P.E.O., Progressive Women's Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Riverton Eagles, and B.P.O. Does.
Her family said she enjoyed playing bridge, weekly coffee club with friends, and, with her husband, cutting firewood for many people.
Survivors include her daughter, Sally Williams of Riverton; a granddaughter, Crissy Lucas and husband Corey; great grandchildren, Talyn O'Neal and Cole O'Neal.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hepp; her parents; two sisters, Martha Wilson and Harriett LaCroix, and a brother, Richard Lamberton. "

Survived by wife, Dorothy; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah & Bruce Lamberton-Dell, Alexandria, Virginia; son & daughter-in-law, The Rev. Dodd & Myrna Lamberton and grandchildren, Ainslev & Benlamin of Elmira, New York; sisters, Harriet LaCroix, Grand Junction, CO, Martha Wilson, Mpls. & Bernice Hepp, Riverton, Wyoming."
